So as a fellow signia user i was shocked that the place where i bought my signias has removed completely this brand and opted for this brand called AMPLIFON I don’t know which models are coming and how good it is. So I’m wondering :thinking: if it’s on par with signia phonak or oticon or is a worse product ? Also will I be able to do diy things with this brand ?

Any answer is much appreciated thank you

Hard to say which brand/ models they are without the exact Amplifon model, these are rebranded models from most of the major brands, Phonak are unlocked but the others I’m pretty sure are locked. Have you got a Costco you could deal with instead of this clinic.

As I look at your , your loss is comparable to mine, so my opinion is if I was shopping for myself. When I started this journey back in 2019, I decided on Phonak based on availability and their long history in the hearing industry. I wasn’t going to compromise on giving myself the best opportunity just to save some dollars.

Since 2019 I’ve transitioned from Marvel 70s, to Lumity 90s and now Infinio Sphere 90. I’ve not been disappointed. The Infinio Sphere have been the best in hearing in background noise but they are not perfect. I find that around 75 db I am reaching for my Roger On , especially in a bar or restaurant.

Keep in mind, the best of equipment will be a disappointment if you don’t have the support of a top notch audiologist. It would be like owning a BMW and taking it to Pep Boys or Walmart for service. Real Ear Measurement for some people doesn’t guarantee excellent results. I had it performed once and it was a disaster.

They have these they’re selling it as a signia ix technology but with the amplifon brand :woozy_face: I’m almost 100% sure these are locked so I won’t be able to tweak some things if they’re not good for me. Ugh why they’re always screwing the consumer hahahah

Haha my man our are really close lmao. For sure I don’t compromise dollars over the best service cuz this is literally my weakness haha and keep in mind that I’m using has since I was 9 so I understand what u mean, and for the part of having a top notch audi that is true until you learn what works best for u so u can also tweak and modify settings and configurations that is best suited for u in my case I’ve been using has my whole life so I know that hehe but yep at this point I think I will give a shot to the phonaks as a lifelong user of siemens aka signia.

Yeah i think I will cuz that company is messing things around and doing weird things so yep thanks for the advice guys.
