My Audi has been asking the same question. Phonak usually comes out with the Naida version a year after the release of a new aid. This is not written in stone, but in the past 16 plus months after the release of the Infinio, you would think Phonak would have a Naida version ready for “show time”. Especially with the Naida Lumity hearing aid now ‘old in the tooth’ coming out in 2023. Sure hope Phonak doesn’t pick up Oticon’s bad habits by delaying major rollout of new aids.

One problem is that make up only 8–10% of units sold, so there’s much less motivation to launch new platforms.

It seems all companies (AFAIK) do not release BTE platforms are often as , not just Oticon and Phonak. It seems that Phonak is the one that releases BTE more often.
Resound Enzo Q (2020) → Renzo IA (2025)
Oticon Xceed released 2019
Widex Moment BTE (2020) → Allue BTE (2025)
Starkey Evolv BTE (2021) → (No new Starkeys AFAIK).
Signia X SP (2021) → Signia IX SP (2025)
Nadia Marvel (2019) → Nadia Paradise (2021) → Nadia Lumity (2023)
These dates may not be 100% accurate , they are based on what I was able to find on the web.

There is less demand for power aids versus smaller, less powerful aids, yet there still is a market (profitable market) for the manufacturer and sale of aids. As of today, Phonak seems to have cornered the market for power aids, but one has to question why the company (as other companies) is reluctant to share information regarding new power aids in development or planned for release in 2026 and beyond. When you have a large segment of HA users who have aids that are four to eight years old, that collective group, which could be in the tens of thousands, wants to know what’s coming down the pike. Because they more likely want to upgrade their current aids before their existing aids fail. It’s a worn-out subject, but hearing aid companies do a very poor job of letting hearing aid users know of any future target dates when new aids might roll out. For too long, the practice has been, “Don’t Call Us, We Will Call You,” and unfortunately, that call can take years to happen, as is the case with the non-existent Naida Infinio.

And falling (in the developed World) due to decreases in the prevalence of conductive losses and the increase in the operating range of models. From a manufacturer point of view, there’s a great appeal in streamlining the product line, especially when you’re throwing all your development cash at .
That doesn’t help the individuals who already have severe losses: I think the way through it could be if a few manufacturers got together and put out a power shell-set with a standardised slot for the manufacturer chip. It’s sort of like how several automotive companies have got together to build a van body that gets rebadged and shipped with different engines and trim.

asked my audiologist this and he said there will likely not be a Naida Infinio at all and maybe the successor to Infinio will have a Naida option.

Very possible since Phonak might not have the battery power to handle Naida Infinio in backgroud program setting. On the other hand, when the successor to the Infinio comes out, I seriously doubt Phonak would offer (at the same time) a Naida up version. Power aids always seem to follow brand new aids by two years. But as stated earlier, the Lumity Naida is now considered an old hearing aid, being almost three years old. Clock is ticking.

They don’t want to announce something that is not ready for release. They are probably even more shy about that right now because of how recently they teased the Virto R and then had to push it back so far when it failed QC.
Nonetheless, I’m kind of expecting a update in the sping. I am NOT expecting a sphere version.

Spring release is nothing at all. Extension on the easyguard domes and an M Naida Lumity.
Sigh. Disappointing. On the other hand, I’ve been very happy with the Sphere and the Virto Infinio and maybe it’s just been a lot for them.

No problem on my end waiting two or three years between news models. But the wait breaks down when it enters year four on. Hearing aid manufacturers are going to lose customers if they think they can go four - five years between yesterday’s aid and what ever might be coming down the dry pike.

Five years is the average replacement date. I’m not sure I’d actually mind if they skipped the incremental releases and just did the bigger ones. But certainly people who replace at three years would probably be annoyed that they were just buying the same thing over again.

I would prefer to see major hardware updates every 4 to five years and firmware updates as needed and as updates to technology could be added by way of firmware updates.
