They deliver SHODDY SERVICE turning costly premium Hearing Aids Lumity 90s into worthless trash. Purchased in June 2023 online
When I left her office I didnt realize instead of updating my H. A. from Bluetooth and my Roger Select and so I am back home and unable to hear callers or voicemail on my phone and I urgently need them reconnected.
Contacted Jessica and got not an apology but just FIX IT YOURSELF DIRECTIONS from Phonak
WHEN I try to repair them the app says they were last seen at her address in Topeka Kansas. So now the app cant find my hearing aids which i have right here but the app says they are in Topeka.
HOW do I FIND my hearing aids and pair to my phone. my urgent need to address is repairing my and phone.
FAMILY EMERGENCY- I am basically deaf disconnected from lufe while my grandson suddenly tragically has taken his own life same afternoon i went to audi my young grandson in his 20s is GONE FOREVER. I need to PLEASE get HAs paired I need to be able to talk to my family as I am isolated and deaf now and away from family.
I dont know FIND HEARING AIDS function it must be new feature but whatever how do I fix these issues I am distant and isolated and need desperately to connect with my family?
The fitting process requires your phone’s bluetooth to be turned off, so your audi likely turned it off in your phone. Perhaps she forgot to turn it back on afterward. Have you checked if your phone’s Bluetooth is enabled?
Yes bluetooth is on. But there are just weird things that happened.
Ive been really stressed out so much happening so i may be off on the timeline of events and details.
When I finally got myself together enough to TRY TO FOCUS just on the hearing aids and phone issue.
I went to audiologist a week ago Friday and handed them to her and she did a couple of programs and just maybe 10 minutes she gave them back to me and said she increased the volime and then she asked if I wanted a hearing test and I decided to go ahead since i was already there and its hard for me to go places because of where I live in a tiny very unfriendly town I moved to 5 1/2 years ago. She did an abbreviated test just testing which tones I could hear. No word identification or anything. Maybe 10 minutes time and she handed them back and said basically ‘your test today is nowhere near the settings you came in with’ so I guess my hearing loss got worse. I put in hearing aids and just assumed (STUPIDLY it turns out) that she had paired them with phone. And it wasnt until I got home and made a phone call or watched a video that I noticed the 2 devices were not paired but then it got too much going on so it wasnt till monday that I noticed again they werent paired and so for 3 days off and on I was trying to pair them several times but i noticed new settings like find phone saying where they were last seen. It showed the hearing aids on Myphonak App but some other new stuff too. Finally I decided to FORGET previous devices. And it took me a few tries trial and error to get both visible on the app and paired and working properly with right preferences and when i went to bed everything seemed to be good.
But when I got up 8 or 9 hours later stuff changed overnight. Some of the new features disappeared a both showed on screen and no longer showed the last place seen and they app when opened couldnt find devices even though paired. And severL times I did the forget devices because one but not both as showed. But when i tried watching videos or voice mail they werent right and but finally when i went to bed they were functioning great. But when i got up the today it was all messed up again and some of details missing like the program reverted to older version. Today I frantically tried various ways to repair but partial success both HAS showed in app but didnt connect. The status tonight is that all those special features are gone and not ever able to use selections like MUSIC or Tv or restaurant.
So one is paired but dont seeem to coordinate together on App so when im in crowded room highceiling get tremendous echo effect so they dont help using to adjust. And i dont know how to get the other capabilities choices back and still have echoes. The app and settings say paired but app indicator there are .missing aspects and the appto show or merge both sides it says not connected. VERY CONFUSING. HOW DO I GET BOTH AIDS TO WORK AND FUNCTION TO CONTROL SETTINGS - SHOULD I FORGET BOTH AND START OVER.
I HAVE ADD and reading and following directions is hard so I wish somebody who knows how to get all coirdinated.
I think audi should if possible do remote settings or directions unless it gets Right again I could spend weeks trying to get it right. I dont know how to fix and Audi who gave them back to me with totally messed apps should do what it takes to online or at my home FIX this because now it doesnt help .
I am not physixally able to read 10 pages of directions and get everything smooth sailing. Im frankly sick of all this crap in the wake of my family tragic loss of life. I dont know enough to fix which is why i turn it over to professional to restore to functioning as b4. Its getting to me that i seriously consider wiping out devices and wiping me off the map only way out
By default, the aids do not stay connected to myPhonak. This is to save battery life for the phone and aids. You can toggle this option in the myPhonak app. As the connection is not constant, there can be a delay and data may not be up to date as of that moment (seem disconnected, show connected despite turning aids off, etc.). You should not need to keep re-pairing. Just give the app a few moments to catch up. Report back if this is the issue or it is something else.
Also disconnect the aids from other paired devices to eliminate those connections limiting the phone connection.
There are devices that show up i have no idea what they are for because their names are just mix of random numbers a no d letters. The have names that make it obvious what device it is. Should they be gone? TOO MUCH I CANNOT WRAP my tortured mind around and i dont think i am capable of fixing this and i shouldnt have to because i took them to her precisely because i cant deal with rhis. I gained my nothing for money i pay audi. She got money i got a masive time consuming puzzle to figure out. i got to have these functioning yet i cant fix and cant afford to pay big sums to people who screw you up my HA and my life. Is that my only resolution to free my yself is to take myself out. Surrender give up failed lifetime loser. Sick of HAs sick of me.
How do i end up holding the bag saddled with fixing someting i know nothing about. She screwed it up and i ask for help and she just sends me material copied from Phonak. HOW DOES THIS COMPUTE im struggling to survive with a crappy car. I dont want another 2 hour round trip to go back to this con artist audi SHE NEEDS TO DO WHAT I PAID HER FOR HAs that work better not HAs that are useless.
I would try to contact phonak but no luck there either after they get pay for product end of their involvement. Whiever works on or manufactured these extortionary priced products needs to FIX

My mind is blown out from these crappy aids and manufacturers. My grief for my departed grandson while needing good i paid for. My HA hold the key to whether i can live in this world or not.
If I die please publish article that says I died out of desperation to NOT BE DEAF but profiteers only want a pound of flesh. Name the audiologist firm who are thieves taking money for which they give you ba your device, screw it up and tell me FIX IT YOURSELF
Reboot the hearing aids or even reset them (instructions in the internet, this is like pressing button for over 15s and then putting them in the charger, depending on your )

I do think that you need to uninstall and reinstall the MyPhonak app, then come back here to tell us how things look after that.
I will give your instructions a go in the morning and keep fingers crossed. All i have now is one of the hearing aids connects during phone calls enough to get me by even though theres varying degrees of echo depending on the tone of voice of rhe caller. Under bluetooth devices it shows both right and left as active. But on the app they dont show up. Just says it may take awhile but eventually says FAILED.
The app is missing stuff and cant be used to adjust sound programs.

The audi sent me an email claiming she performed her work admirably but I disagree. I had no control of the aids just that they were last seen at her address in Topeka.
They should have been re-paired and ready to go and the app fully functioning. I dont know how she can claim that with a straight face as they were obviously stuck in place in Topeka and didnt connect or function at all as they were when i handed my to her to perform her supposed magic. Here it is a week later and im still spending time everyday trying to get paired and the app functioning.
I can only work on them for limited time before frustration takes over me and I have to put them aside.

I went thru this same hellish confusion for over weeks trying to pair my Roger Select which will be the case again assuming i ever get the pairing and app working properly.
Where in the end of settings is all this slider stuff etc.
I dont see any developer options in the settings. WHERE IN THE SETTINGS? Under what heading? Is it in phone settings or google settings. I hate google influence showing up everywhere. What has this got to do with google.
My advice:
Make it your top priority to uninstall and reinstall MyPhonak (hunting for Developer Options can take a lower priority).
At this point, getting a clean fully working version of MyPhonak must be your #1 task.
Then we can take it from there.

Yes you did and happy to say both H A appear to be working properly praise be. Lists of things can be difficult / confusing but after getting into following your steps outlined it all worked as you said.

My one question is if i want to adjust one of the programs such as Music for example how do I make those change controls visible. ? Where it shows choices like Clarity or Speech?
