When will the Sennheiser Sonite Rise arrive at Costco and which Phonak model will it be comprable to

You have to ask yourself about your lifestyle. If you get into noisy situations often that you really need to hear and understand speech the Sphere’s are best. But if noisy places are not that often the Rise aids will do just as good as the Sphere’s. Both are essentially the same except dealing with loud noise.

Apparently not all Costcos are getting the Sonite Rise now. At least one of the Costcos in the Fresno/Clovis CA area is still selling the R. I really don’t get why they can’t make an announcement instead of making us guess.

To be fair , their web page doesn’t show the Rise yet. Maybe they are waiting for full availability like they did with the Sonite R

I was in Costco in Mt Prospect IL Tuesday 3/17. They had just received their display package that morning. No information on cost yet as brand new to them. They gave me a flyer. I was a bit confused as it notes that it has the newest AI technology. I am guessing that that means the infinio series non-sphere has an AI chip but not the sphere processor too? Or is it in there but just not activated.Anyway started receiving in Chicago land.

Most recent hearing aids have used AI for sometime but it has been seen as increasingly important to marketing to mention it now. Only the Spheres have the separate chip (and bigger battery) which results in a larger hearing aid than the “plain” Infinio and the similar Sonite Rise.

I looked at two warehouses at Costco online and the Rise were listed as Starting at $1599 price varies by state

Yes, I see they are finally listed on Costco’s site. I’m guessing that means they are available at all hearing centers now.

Just looked at the San Antonio Costco we shop at, the Rise is there now for $1600.

My wife has been asking for me to repeat myself too much lately. Time to go hearing aid shopping???

Finally at COSTCO in Superior, CO…waiting for return call to schedule appointment to replace KS 10s:

At appointment today, COSTCO specialist said the Sonak Rise would make a negligible improvement in my hearing compared to my current KS10s.

I decided not to upgrade…just ordered new “speaker” with custom mold becaluse wire was ready to break.

Are the improvements the Sonite Rise offers over the KS10 worth buying, or are they not very significant?

The answer is not simple. The Rise has notable changes. Whether they matter for you, I don’t know. First question to ask is what don’t you like about your current hearing aids? Where do they fail you? If you’re basically satisfied with what you’ve got, there’s really no reason to upgrade. I would expect the Rise to be better in noise and with soft spoken people. I think battery life will likely be better. Try them if you want to.
