GN Hearing appears to make a distinction between ‘Jabra’, whch they are keeping, and ‘Jabra Enhance’, which they are selling. It’s as informative as the ‘’, ‘BT LE, and ‘BT LEA’ terminology.

My first encounter with amplifon was that my Audi ‘Beter Horen’ sold rebranded Amplifon only. I found out quickly that their energy Amplifon micro is the Resound Nexia. They provide their own app which is inferior to the ReSound Smart 3D app that lucky enough also still works with the Micro. Auxiliary also still works. So what changed? They put this annoying hide and seek renaming between us. Big chance my next is not Amplifon.

@frans.leferink (and anyone else).
Does the Resound app work for the Jabra 30’s? And is it any better than the Enhance Pro app? I could try it out, as I downloaded a while ago (and would probably need updating, if anything is to be gained using it). Thank you.

I Have the Jabra 30’s and use the Android version of the Jabra app. I also installed the ReSound 3D app to see if there was any difference. I found them to be identical, except for color theme.

With 3+ years of Jabra use, I know the app pretty well. I ran my Pro 30s for 5 days on the ReSound app. No errors or surprises. Went back to the Jbara app because I prefer its colors.![]()

What android model are you using was your jabra thirties? I have the Jabra 30 and also use my S24 Android . I have had no use of neither apps now and Costco and CN says they are having problems with the Android version 16 which is mine . They say that its Android problem and are waiting to see and they can’t help . Both apps, Jabra and Resound worked for about 2 weeks after i bought them then Costco sent me a new replacement and same thing. Now going on 4 months and no response on a fix . Old version works and they said version 16 and any Android s22 or newer does not . I’m ready to return them ,not sure which one i should get liked Jabra when i was able to use with app , not happy without use of app.

Sorry to hear your experiencing issues. I have a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 on Samsung’s UI 8.0, running Android version 16. Been 6 weeks running the 30’s on the Jabra Enhanced Pro app version 1.43.1 No issues to date. Also, my 30’s are on firmware 10.21.2.1

Langs, for reply. Yes, it sounds like it’s the s twenty two through s twenty five androids that are having the issue and just want to see if anything’s changed, cause they say to keep waiting for the updates on your android and it might take and straighten out the problem. But so far, no good.So anybody else got anything to add?I’d appreciate it thank you

Thanks glad to hear your doing good . If you decide to change your phone to the newer s models, you might want to double check to make sure they have it corrected by then.In the meantime, i’m thinking about maybe exchanging mine for something else.I’m not sure which one i’m dealing with.Costco and the manufacturer so far, nothing

I think is what changed in the S22-S26 series. I thought the bugs would have been worked out by now, but I was mistaken.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S24 FE and streaming to my Jabra EP30 works fine, as well as doing streaming from my Avantree Audikast 4HA transmitter to the hearing aids. There was an Auracast problem with Android 15 and One UI 6, but the android update in the fall to Android 16 and One UI 8 fixed them.
The only bug that I am aware of is that some apps like X/Twitter do not pause/quieten the Auracast stream when playing a video on the phone with sound. Phone notifications and YouTube do work correctly.
@Hear140 start a new thread if you need help but it seems like this is a unique problem for you and not related to whether GN /Jabra has been bought by another company.

Thank you, still working on it , by the way my android is s24 ultra if that makes and difference, you wouldn’t think so ,I think its only a little longer . Thanks again ,glad to hear yours are working fine .

As GN’s latest 2 aids Nexia and Vivia were never made for Cochlear’s bimodal recipients. When GN released these 2 aids in Oct 2023 Cochlear sent emails around telling us they won’t work for the bimodal recipients.
That is interesting. I have a Nucleus 8 operating bimodally with Resound Omnia, and had been wondering whether it would be worth upgrading the Omnia, but sounds like this isn’t even an option.
My Omnia was actually supplied and is supported by Amplifon. It is actually the Resound Omnia rebranded as Amplifon R5 OM 13T. Amplifon support has been good. They converted the other one from a right to a spare left after I went cochlear.

Cochlear Australia sent all recipients an email, telling us not to buy either of them as they won’t stream. They also put it in the news letter they send out.
It’s definitely not an option if you want to be bimodal and have the streaming function working properly for you.

Thanks, definitely want proper streaming, and anyway I suspect the quality of the non Cochlear doesn’t make a huge difference because hearing comprehension is dominated by the Cochlear.
