Does anyone have an update as to when the Soundgear Amp will be released to all Costco stores?

6 months ago when I posted about this they were not enabled. We had to wait for a firmware update and app update which occurred months ago.

(; too. One of my late Mother’s 1st cousins lived in Sault St. Marie, Ontario, across the bridge from same named city, in Michigan. We drove over that bridge back in late September to move, across the USA, with U S Customs supervisor permission, to Surrey, B C. One of my best friends, from Grant MacEwan College, Edmonton, Alberta, has been a great RN in London, Ontario. Catarina Tavares. Moved there around 1984 or so.

SoundGear Amp 2 just showed up at my local Costco. Wasn't there a few days ago. I coincidentally have an appointment in three days. My main goal was to get an updated and possibly try the Sennheiser Rise (Phonak Lumity without Sphere). And see about getting a custom tip. I currently use a micro mold tip made from thermo silicon for my Oticon Mores. These still work great, comfortable, no vent, no feedback, I'm totally acclimated to them. But my five yo Oticon is ready to be replaced. I'm hoping I can continue to use these tips or get an equivalent for whatever new HA I get. I've never been fitted in Costco so TBD.
Anyway back to topic, now that SoundGear is in the store and equivalent to Starkey Omega (but not the newer AI+) it becomes a consideration. Also hopefully get news on the Phillips 9060 which I understand has similarities to the Oticon Reveal (same hardware different firmware). I like choices, hopefully the fitter isn't too confused :)

The SoundGear Amp 2 is now being sold at all locations, according to the hearing center in my store. Managers were sent correspondence last week detailing the rollout and ordering process.
I can confirm that this is the updated model most closely associated with the Omega 24 platform from Starkey, which is an upgrade from the previous AMP model. The SKU number for the SoundGear AMP 2 on my order is 2954917. The pilot stores did not carry the previous model in stock, so I am not sure if the Costcos will have some in inventory after the rollout to all stores.
I ordered my AMP 2 mRIC R set (rechargeables) on October 16th and was also the first in my store to do so. The test and demo was performed at one of the pilot stores in my area last week, which is when I found out that all stores are now selling them. Most stores do not have a demo pair yet (unless they were a pilot location), and most do not have their accessory kits (like the waxguards), but the AMP 2 and the accessories can now be ordered from any store.
Initially, the Manager and tech that were assisting with the order said they were not sure when they were going to be able to order the AMP 2. They also said I would have to go back to the pilot store to place the order. After the manager reviewed the correspondence, he asked the tech to check the system to see if it happened to pop up. Indeed it did. Every store should be able to order the AMP 2 now because it is in their ordering system. It is possible that a store may not have the orientation kit, training resources, demo set, and accessories, but they can still order the hearing aids.
The manufacturer's warranty for the hearing aids is indeed 4 years; the Loss & Damage Warranty is 3 years. The cost is $1599. The charger is warrantied for 4 years. The receivers are listed as being under a 3 year warranty.
The AMP 2 is a slightly different form factor than the previous one. It has an LED on the top, which distinguishes it from the look of the previous model. It should be built with functionality, but we will have to try it out before confirming. I will give an update after the fitting and installation in about a week. https://soundgearamp.com5

I doubt that the SG AMP 2.0s are as good as the EP 30s I bought 182 days ago.... I mean, they couldn't be could they?
Ah, well, my insurance kicks in again 2.5 years from now.... I really like the Starkey table mic....
(Just rueful. It's really 200 days, and no one held a gun to my head when I bought the Jabras.)

My Costco now has the SG AMP 2.0s. The I saw said that he has only fitted one so far and doesn't think anyone else there has fitted any yet. I did go with the Jabra EP 30s for delivery next Saturday. Now would be a good time to explain why I should change this. ![]()

Did you do a trial of the Soundgear Amp 2?
That's the only way your going to know if one is better then the other. It's what is better for you.

Just got back from my appointment at Costco hearing center. Milford still does not have the Soundgear Amp 2 for sale. I was told nobody has been trained on the software but they are going to start this Friday. They said after everyone has training they will start selling the new Amp 2.
Most of all the other Costco stores in CT already have the Amp 2 for sale.

I stopped by one of the Costco Hearing Centers in Colorado Springs. They had the AMP2 in the case and on sale, but the one fitter who was there said she wouldn't fit them yet because she had not been trained. As Jamesdjs said, training will start this weekend.

Talked to a tech at my local hearing center last week while getting my domes replaced, and they still don't have a solid nationwide rollout date in their internal system.
Usually when Costco pilots a brand in select regions, the trial runs anywhere from 6 to 9 months before corporate makes a final call based on return rates, member feedback, and technician training requirements. If the trial numbers or return rates aren't looking great, corporate quietly drops it like they've done with a few other models in the past.
If you have a Costco nearby that's part of the test group, it’s worth asking if they can order a pair for you or if your local center can check inventory via an inter-warehouse transfer, but otherwise we're all just stuck waiting on corporate's quarterly memo.

I was at my store last week (10/23). They had the AMP 2s (and they were not in the original roll out of the AMPs). I was able to demo them and ordered a pair. I pick them up in 1.5 weeks. (Tough scheduling an appointment.) I purchased the 2nd AMP 2s sold at my store.
