Jabra App won't see my Jabra 30"s

As of today, when I put my Jabra 30’s on and tried to stream, they wouldn’t stream. I had other things to do, so didn’t look into it for a while. And when I did the Jabra App wouldn’t see my , even when I had them right over the App!!

I tried turning the aids off and on again, and still no dice. Then, I put them in the plugged in charger for a bit. Then, I again turned them off and on.Again, no dice. What the blazes??

Recently 1 of my aids wouldn’t charge at all and had to be sent back to the manufacturer. Then, I got it back. I don’t remember using the app since.

I need to make another appointment to get my new molds. When I went to get them almost 2 weeks ago, I was late (arghh!) and my fitter, who made the impression was gone, she had to go to a funeral. So, we had made the big trip in for nothing, except I did get the HA back (or replaced, not sure).

It is such a big deal to walk, take a long subway ride, and walk some more in the blazing heat—close to 100 degrees for many days. And she is booked up always. Sorry for the rant. I’m just not sure how to fix this issue.

I got discouraged by all the other issues (see my other post).

I’ve gotten pretty annoyed at Android and the app. The app is still installed, but my aren’t connected to it, because the built-in Android app does what I need. IMO, the Resound app doesn’t communicate as well as it should with the OS.

What really bugs me is that the HA-phone connection has gotten worse over the months I’ve had my 30s.

Another thing that bugs me is that the TV Streamer+ and Multi-mic+ do not release the HAs when I turn them off. They hold on for several minutes, and I can’t get the HAs out of streaming during that oeriod unless I use the Android app. The Jabra app just shows ‘Audio Streaming’ as the active program. And if I select ‘All Around’ to talk with my wife, often I can’t get back to streaming.

I hope Android 17 is much better.

@philbob57 The number of things that go wrong with , molds, and apps, not to mention peripherals . . let me count the ways!!! And not to mention hearing getting worse—-it better not!

Otoh, we are lucky to have the aids we have! And we are fortunate to have the forum, so we can get help and moral support along the way.

Well, today I went to a really important first visit to a neurosurgeon, and . . . my wouldn’t turn on or connect to the app!! Luckily I got it back on before the doctor came in. (And as a side note, he said that I don’t need neurosurgery!!! Hallelujah!!).

But why does this keep happening?

I never had it before.It all started after I got back the left aid that wouldn’t charge. That may be a coincidence. I don’t know if they fixed the aid or replaced it. Will ask next time.

As an addendum, they keep going unpaired! What?!

I seldom use the Jabra app for my Enhance Max aids. I normally don’t need to make program adjustments but I change programs on my phone as needed.

On my Samsung S25 Plus with android 16, I can go into Settings → Connections → Bluetooth → Gear Icon for ’s, Presets to change programs without using the app.

I have an iPhone. Does anyone know if you can do this without the Jabra app with an iPhone? Somehow I doubt it.

I suppose I can change the program on the aids, although I’ve never done it; I’d have to check the manual. Actually, I don’t frequently change the program, but can change the levels, which can easily be done on the aids. These days, I rarely change the levels, however.

The only thing I can think of as to why the aids keep getting unpaired is that if the aid was replaced, that it may not instinctively pair with my existing aid. Does that make any sense? Well, it’s only a guess.

Whatever it is, it’s annoying, because it’s constant. And I can’t get in to see that fitter who made the impressions for the molds until the end of August.

In the meantime, I have the unpairing problem, plus they come out of my ears a lot, plus, the other aid, since I was last in an they were adjusted, constantly squeals in my ear!

If the Costco were nearby, I would go in, but it absolutely is not nearby and is difficult to get to. Arghh!

I think there is a bit of an issue of some iPhones becoming unpaired with the Resound Vivia/Jabra EP30. (And I do mean unpaired, not just losing connection to the phone.)

It’s happened three or four times to me (Resound Vivia and iPhone 17 Pro) and when I mentioned it here, no one else replied saying they had experienced it. Also when I asked Chat GPT to tell me all the reports on line it could find, it found only my hearing tracker posting.

But there obviously is an unpairing issue. But I don’t know how to avoid it. Obviously it’s easy to re-pair the aids, but I never had this problem until I had the Vivias. But whether it’s a Vivia issue or an IOS issue, I don’t know.

Which iphone? The newer the better.

IIRC, the iphone MFI app does everything the the Resound app does except mute the aids with one touch (when streaming, for example). I’m finding the Android app is easier to use than the Resound app (which is indistinguishable from the Jabra app in operation, IME.

@tenkan Thank you, good idea. I know I’ve thought of it, but I don’t have the app, so I guess I haven’t tried it.

t wish next time was sooner, but it isn’t). I could do it sooner, if I was willing to have a different fitter, but since I’ve had so many problems with the molds, and the one I’m waiting for has the most experience with molds and was the one to take the impression, she would be the best one to see.

Yes, I know how to fix it, but when it happens at a time when I critically need to hear a doctor NOW, it is a problem. luckily, I fixed it just before he came in.

it was a first visit with a neurosurgeon about a critical surgery.that it seemed like I needed it to prevent paralysis and worse, so important to hear him immediately. (Fortunately, he said that I didn’t need it and wouldn’t in the future. No other surgeon knew).

When it unpairs, no app works because the phone thinks there are no hearing aids. You have re-pair the aids to the phone, then the Apple app (three quick presses on the power button) works again.

If you want the Jabra/Resound app then you have to next re-pair with that, which is a bit more of a faff as it requires you to restart the aids. But anyway it doesn’t take too long once you recognise what is happening.

So, 3 quick presses on the power button—do you mean on the aids or the phone?

That would be much quicker than all of the on/off, in the charger, etc. In the moment, I don’t need the app anyway, I just need the aids to work so that I can hear!!
