I hope so, I very like having big battery, so that charge is sufficient for 2 days of normal use (30-40h) or 10-11h in constant manual Spheric Speech in Noise program, which is priceless during parties, e. g. weddings, etc.
Another bonus is it is less wobbly sideways so that I can finally use rocker switch button without problem.

Except the spheric speech clarity mode will be available in the 50 level of technology, so more easily accessed than in the past.

platform
Are you sure? I have Phonak Naida SPs from 3 generations (Marvel, Paradise & Lumity), and the physical bodies are identical, including battery covers.

Yep correct, more the internal not so much a new platform, I was hoping for a lot more..

It’s kind of like Apple upgrades. The chipset, firmware and some parts are new, but the basic housing design is very similar to what came before. I think with the new Roger On Sphere they’ll give non-rechargeable and users the same benefits as what was available in the original sphere hearing aids so I think that is a meaningful upgrade. And to be honest, when you’re dealing with such a successful product with massive improvements on the original sphere during its lifespan it was always going to be an incremental upgrade next time around. It may be more than incremental, we don’t have enough information yet.

Most are basically the same chip and circuit design, most “new and wonderful, amazing” hear everything (ha ha) releases from the manufacturers are nothing more then software/firmware upgrades with different names, Sonova are the worst, it’s gonna be “so so” as per usual, only on paper and in the lab do you get “massive improvements” have reached a plateau for now.

For what I’ve read there will be a new chip in Phonak E R and E-Sphere? Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

Sonova brands are the main brands that use the same chip and change the software being implemented and call it a new product (e.g. SPICE/SPICE+ and Infinio/Infinio Ultra) but most of their new products also come with a new chipset that is considerably more powerful than what came before. Most other brands have new chips for each product generation. They’re specifically built that way for maximum battery efficiency.

maybe the DeepSonic chip were merged with ERA chip in one die, thus shrink the battery and the device size

An era is a long period of time that stands out because of special events, a famous person, or new ways of doing things. This is likely what they’re referring to.
