Seeing as Infinio Sphere tech has reached Unitron, I’d bet a new Sonova model will be due at Costco.

Products are often actually available in different countries at different times. Information typically first comes from the US and UK in English. As I mentioned, I was speculating about Canada based on industry events.

I used naida for 15 + years but have found better performance with the infinio sphere 90s even though my audiologist thought they wouldn’t be powerful enough. have you tried them ? If you’re ready for an upgrade I’d definitely look at the Eon. I’ve only had my aids a year or so then upgraded to Ultra so I’m sticking with them for a while yet.

It isn't a new feedback manager per se. It is an updated feedback calibration and it seems it is tied to the target software and whether it extends to other products isn't stated. You could probably try at home by re-running it with your existing infinio devices to see whether it sounds different.

if they have made the EON Sphere smaller than the Infinio Sphere, what is the point of the EON R? I assumed it's not that much cheaper than the EON Sphere. is it simply to have a option?

Yes, that and an entry level of technology (30) that isn't available with the Sphere device.

I hope that (vent size) is the reason. I have custom Cshells but I don't know the vent size. When I get the new Eons, if there is no improvement, I will discuss with my audiologist the possibility of making a change in the ear molds.

Well I messaged my Audi about whether to call the office for an appointment and she responded by scheduling me for a fitting on the 16th lol. So I might have these in hand pretty soon.
@choccybiccy69 i noticed this as well on the Datasheet and product info. The hardware specs for both models are identical.

yes but the EON Sphere has those things so why would someone choose the EON R over the sphere? it can only be for the , which is what 1-2% of users? maybe they should have not produced a non sphere this time and left the cros to the Infinio. obvs i don't know how this business decisions work maybe im being presumptive or stupid.

I also don't understand much that phenomenon. It can subside shadow effect in quiet situations, but does it provide real-life benefits in noise?
Theoretically it activates use of the more narrower beamforming (StereoZoom 2.0 in Speech in Loud Noise program), but does it provide meaningful benefits for /asymetrical users?
And despite improvements in battery life (Phonak claims now 20h with Eon R + Eon CROS setting), but it's still energy consuming.

To Midwest_Man,
I’d rather skip a few nights at a restaurant each month and hear better.
I’d rather skip a small vacation and hear better.
I’d rather drive an older car and hear better.
Make sense? Once again…just my 2 cents.
Well, most keep aids for at least 4 yr., and average cost is $3000.
So, that comes out to $63 dollars, instead. And that's about what it cost to fill up with gas, nowadays.
So, applying your logic, "I'd rather skip filling up with gas and hear better."
So, you can hear better, but can't go anywhere! ha, just teasing, but, you did make a good point.
