Hi everyone,
I would really appreciate some advice from people with severe-to-profound hearing loss, especially anyone who has experience with these hearing aids.
My is:
Left ear: 60 / 75 / 80 / 95 / 105 / 110 / 95
Right ear: 50 / 60 / 75 / 95 / 105 / 105 / 95 dB
(Frequencies: 125, 250, 500, 1000, 2000, 4000, 6000 Hz)
I currently use an Oticon Xceed SP1, and I am happy with it. I still have some power reserve, so I don't necessarily need a stronger UP device.
I am now considering two options:
- Oticon Reveal 1 – the new 2026 receiver-in-the-ear () model with Dual , using the 105 receiver
- Phonak Naída Lumity L90-SP – a powerful SP
My main question is:
With my level of hearing loss, would the Oticon Reveal 1 with the 105 receiver provide enough power and amplification for me, or would it be better to stay with a powerful SP BTE such as the Oticon Xceed SP1 or Phonak Naída Lumity L90-SP?
I am particularly interested in speech understanding, speech clarity, sound quality, available power/gain, and real-world experience.
If you were in my position, which one would you choose and why?
Thank you very much for your advice!
