Roger On 3 vs. Roger On Sphere comparison

Does Roger On Sphere sound less natural to others? Spheric mode can have that issue too. Listening to this with a phone is probably not ideal.
I assume this new version can run both modes? And there's a battery life hit to Spheric mode?

Wow, that's real improvement! @kevels55, IIRC, you have some TableMics II just for Multitalker network?
And 5 times more range.

Dr Cliff did an unboxing short video. It won't be available until mid-November. The new design with glass screen looks appropriate for a product at this price point.
The good news for existing Phonak and Unitron hearing aid users is they can purchase one of these to benefit from the sphere without replacing their existing hearing aids. It'll be good when this technology finally comes to the education portfolio.

It has a user-replaceable Li-ion battery ![]()
The table mic has been phased out. Up to 10 Roger On transmitters can be connected to eachother in a multitalker network. Each Roger On mic can be operating in different mic modes as part of the multitalker network.

Wow, that's real improvement! Before Roger On Sphere, Roger Table Mic is the only solution to MultiTalker Network desktop mode. I have some Table Mic II and Table Mic 3 just for that.
Another interesting function of Table Mic is that you can use single remote to control multiple Table Mic; I'd like to know if this is possible for Roger On Sphere too.

Yeah @Bimodal_user I have 3 Table Mic 2’s, plus a couple of remotes, in all truth, I rarely use them nowadays! I got them extremely cheaply… IMO, Table Mic 2 is the clearest of all the Roger’s that I have used, by some distance! So, if Table Mic 3 is a big improvement, then it must be exceptionally good! The price point is still way too high for the majority though!!! Cheers Kev😉👍

I have 2 Table Mic II's, and 4 Table Mic 3's. They are using the same firmware version, their remote is interchangeable, almost identical in every way.
The only difference between Table Mic II and Table Mic 3 is that Table Mic 3 provide unlimited Type 03 receiver licenses you can install to RogerReady hearing aids. That's all.

Thank you for that clarification @jedilin I just skimmed over this thread… I also have all of the other Roger devices that you have, in your image, no Table Mic 3’s though, and a few others, it was at one time a passion, alas no longer! For instance, the “Pass Around The Mic” I bought mines for £10 on eBay, with the stand… it works perfectly fine and still looks new! Cheers Kev👍😉

Great buy! It cost me much more, without any stand (sigh)

Yep @jedilin that £10 was perhaps my biggest bargain, I believe “The Roger Pass Around the Mic” costs around £1300 each, at that time in the UK? Not counting the stand 🤣 I have 3 x Roger Inspiro’s, I got them for £40 each, they were also around £1300 each when new, they still work perfect! At the time, I was somewhat like a stamp collector, instead I collected expensive Roger devices, on the cheap! Cheers Kev 😉

With time and money, I may replace almost all of my Roger microphones....
Wow, that's quite a collection...! There are necessary for work?
Does this mean older On versions will receive an update to be used with multitalker networks?
That's also nice info that legacy Roger Devices are compatible in MultiTalker Network. I wonder if it works in Roger On Sphere + Rogen On V1 + Roger Select V1 setup (I have latter two).

Almost all Roger devices, legacy or not, are compatible in MultiTalker Network. Just most of them get "locked" in lanyard mode when using in MTN. To this date, Roger Table Mic is the only desktop mode MTN device on the market, while others lanyard mode MTN devices.
In fact @Bimodal_user you can use Roger On V1 + Roger Select V1 to build a MTN right now. The just have to both be in lanyard mode, otherwise they will be forced mute and automatically mute another if you try to manually unmute one.
P.S.: yap, collection for work mainly. Also I like to see these gadget working in real daily life, perhaps I am like @kevels55 in this way, haha.
