Hi Jabra’s are New to Costco as they joined with ReSound in June 21so you have good hearing aids.I dont particularly like with this type of ,prefer the Connexx type used by Signia and True Hearing as the Receiver cost 50% less and is an easy swap out.I dont get my HA adjusted by an Audiologist but by the App for iPhones.I buy Signia’s and Rexton, very similar and made by same Company,Silvatos.I also buy them cheap on Ebay,New,and change the "Shell’’ with the Color Conversion Kits sold by vendors. My Favs are Signia Charge & Go 5 NX and Rexton Emerald 60 Advanced with TrueCore Technology, both are excellent.Went Deaf in March of this year and suffer Tinnitus,no doctor has an answer,I believe it was an underlying Covid Infection or from my Head Trauma some 7 yrs ago.I dont reccomend buying from Ebay unless your educated in HA as they can be “Locked” by the Manufacturer and have to be sent to a third party to reprogram and unlock which I have a Signia Charge & Go 7 I paid $60.00 for and is locked as there was a Claim on it (purchased in a Lost Luggage Auction) the company I use charges $199.00 including all Parts but if its the Battery they wont fix it as its sealed and has to go back to Signia which they will confiscate even though it wasnt stolen. Its a $3000.00 Single HA so its worth the gamble. If you know HA and have studied the Technology then you can get some great deals on Ebay,Im wearing as I write a Signia Charge & Go 5X (under the label True Hearing)purchase sealed and unopen for $51.00,added a M2R Connexx Reciever and control it via iPhone and couldnt be happier, bought from a PawnBroker on Ebay who didnt know what He was selling!Happy Holidays.Remember, the smaller the HA like my Rexton Emerald, the Longer length you will need for the reciever as this model is the tiniest Ive ever seen behind the ear and a RIC,Ive lost several when taking of my Covid Mask, always have a spare if you can.

Totally agree,Ive read the Reviews and if one will notice theres several Apps from Apple for each hearing Aid,you have to pick the right App.They also dont know how to connect to Bluetooth, you have to open and shut the Battery Door within 5 seconds for the App to read the Hearing Aid.It takes a while to find the right App for what your wearing.i got a Rexton,Miracle Ear and a Signia App as I own all three and change weekly. The best one is when I hit the home button 3 times and can adjust the Volume,I use the apps for which program I want and Microphone Pattern I want, like watching TV.Having Traumatic Brain Injury I would forget what Program Im on so viewing and seeing it on the iPhone is much better.

Except that rechargeable aids don’t have a battery door…
And at Costco, I can exchange receivers at any time, no charge.

Very interesting post, you’ve offered some good information, however I’m concerned that your not getting the best out of your good deals off eBay, namely are you saying you don’t actually program them to your hearing loss with the manufacturers proprietary software?or does the company you send them to do it for the $199 price? Or do you just connect them to the App and use the equaliser to adjust them, if so then you need to consider getting them set up as best you can, you should be doing , it’s easy enough and you’d be able to it, Connexx software is free and Noahlink wireless very cheap on eBay.

For what its worth, my Jabras with the Android app on my Gal S20 5G has been entirely reliable. No issues with sync. I’m a first time user as well, and it took quite a while to become comfortable with them. There is always room for improvement, and my Costco fitter has been very responsive. She swapped out my #2 MRIE receivers for #3s at no cost.
I’m all set to dive into but will stay on the ledge for at least one more round of fitter adjustment. I want a good backup setup safely stored away before venturing into Smart 3D.
Biggest issues I have is that the volume settings on the Programs I most often used are pegged at the highest available. I’m hoping she can tweak the gain to add some headroom to my program settings.
Still learning, but much more comfortable with the Jabras as a good choice for my hearing.

Just got mine this morning. Audi spent almost 2 hours with me during this fitting.
First impressions…
After and some tweaking, I think these sound pretty good.
I do notice the thicker body of the rechargeable over my old 312 aids. At first I didn’t notice but now that’s its been a few hours I feel it. Hopefully I will get accustomed to the extra thickness or, if not and I decide to keep them, I may change to 312 battery size.
I think my receiver wire length may be to short, the wire doesn’t fit close to my ear like my old aids. The power receivers are larger than my old aids so they definitely fill my ear cannel and feel different. Not as comfortable as my old aids. But I’m only using power domes right now. If I decide to keep them I will be getting some custom domes for sure.
Due to my old aids being under powered, these feel like my first set. Kind of bright sounding so wrinkling paper or running water sound overbearing, just like when I got my first aids. But back then I quickly adapted to that sound, so pretty sure my brain just isn’t used to these new sounds again.
Speech is not as good as I would like, although the overall sound is very good. Walking through Costco I could hear other people talking on their cell phones and could even hear the callers voices if on speaker, but once home, still struggling to understand my soft spoken daughter and granddaughter. Also, they didn’t improve TV listening at all really, gotta work with audi on that. I would still blast everyone away if the volume is adjusted for me, even trying all the settings.
I have 4 programs.

I’m guessing you do lot have m&rie? Seems your loss would be too much for it. I do have them with molds and find similar things with understanding soft speech in my house. It’s good, not amazing, but these are my first aids and my loss was very sudden so I never experienced a wow moment so to speak.
I initially used domes from the philips on them and they worked fine. Yes they use the same domes as the resound as that is what I was using after I had the second drop in hearing. I am using the molds with the skeleton lock and they are incredibly comfortable. I don’t quite need them for my overall loss but I’ll take the comfort any day!
as for taking the domes off, yes, the first couple times I really felt like u was tearing it apart but they do come off…

Thanks for that info. Correct, I am not a candidate for the mic in ear receiver.
I turned off the “Locations” and haven’t heard that odd chime since.
And thanks for the reply about your domes. I just might pop for the custom domes on my next adjustment. I think they are only $40 each. Did you notice any better hearing with custom domes over regular? Did streaming sound quality improve?
Looking forward to seeing what kind of improvements I can achieve.

I have the select a vent and nothing in it right now so I think like 4mm? The music and streaming is better. I actually setup my aids so a long press on the left ear will mute/unmute. When I’m listening to music I hit it and it cuts a lot out which I like. If I use a smaller vent of course it’d cut out more.
General hearing? Maybe but I was using power domes which cut out a fair amount anyway. My issue was that I just couldn’t get the domes to always be comfortable. Sometimes I had to keep fiddling with them and it was annoying. The molds are just in and done. I was actually disappointed because I wanted some color - if I’ve got it flaunt it ;). The only colors other than skin tones was red and blue so I went with that. Yeah for $40 each it was well worth it. And, believe it or not, they are returnable if you don’t like them. My told me this and I was surprised given they are custom.

I think I saw a pic of your aids on another thread. Yours have glitter in the molds?
And I think it was you that mentioned about Ultra Focus. My audi didnt include it at first for some reason, but thanks to knowing about it, I asked that it be added. So, many thanks for the save

Those were someone else’s. Would have loved that ;). Mine are red on right and blue on left. Yeah I read about the ultra focus here and added it myself. Told my and she was appreciative of the info.

If you decide to stick with the aids, the ReSound TV Streamer 2 is well worth the cost. Our TV set is in a big, high-ceilinged family room with lots of bare walls and lots of reverberations. The TV Streamer made speech on DVD/Blu-ray movies a lot clearer. I didn’t have any trouble with sports broadcasts but movies with all the other sound stuff going on in movies and maybe not always the greatest sound reproduction on DVDs, etc., were more problematic. You can adjust the relative volume of streamed sound vs. external room sound for each ear and it’s been a while since I’ve experimented but I think the Sound Enhancer features also work (TV not on now so can’t experiment just now).

Only my 2nd day with the Jabra’s and I really have to say so far I am not impressed with speech. Hoping they can be adjusted because as is, not acceptable. It seems like the initial setup at my demo worked better than now, after rem and final fitting. I am going to get some custom molds because if I seal my ears with the aids in, the sound is very much improved.
Two odd things are happening and hoping maybe other Jabra users know what is going on.
The first is a random beep. The beep doesn’t seem related to anything and I don’t notice any changes in the app settings.
The second bothers me when it happens. Suddenly the sound changes, usually to a lower volume, but also goes bright suddenly. Do these aids automatically adjust when in “All Around” mode? It specifically happens while listening to the radio, but I noticed it while driving and walking into a room with a loud TV on. I am listening to an AM radio station right now as I type and the volume is changing every few minutes, or I am going crazy
. Or both…

They most certainly do adjust automatically in All Around mode. That’s part of what you are paying for! But you audiologist can turn it off if you want.
I have no idea what the beep is though. I don’t think I get that. Is it one ear or both? When does it happen?
