Phonak Nathos Auto M, Bluetooth problem

I visited my Local Hospital after I went to my Doctors to ask if I can get an upgrade to Bluetooth Hearing Aids to use with my iPhone mobile, I was told at my consultation that they were in fact bluetooth and I needed to purchase from Specsavers or Boots a around the neck device so as I can use my hearing aids with my mobile.
I went to Specsavers yesterday and was told by their Audiologist that this would not work, as my hearing aids do not have the right level of Bluetooth. They tried the Phonak app on my mobile to connect them, but that did not work.
Later I tried other apps, but they didn’t work either.

A Numbers in battery compartment is (2125X08CM)

Phonak Nathos Auto is based on the Phonak Bolero V70 tech from 2016.

You’ll need the Phonak ComPilot II or the ComPilot Air.

V70 is Venture and 70 level of tech. There is the 30, 50, 70 and 90 levels of tech.

Unfortunately they are not Bluetooth.

Phonak first Bluetooth Aid came out in 2018.

NHS Phonak Bluetooth Aids are the Phonak Nathos Nova.

Phonak Nathos Nova is based on the Phonak Bolero M70 (Marvel) technology.

Yes they are around the neck Bluetooth streamers. Quite expensive to be honest.

I would ask the hospital why you were told they were Bluetooth.

I bought both a Compilot II and a Compilot Air when I had NHS Nathos Auto. The both worked very well for bluetooth calls, a TV Connector amd a connection yo my laptop for zoom calls. You could also plug in a RogerX receiver (on the bottom of the Compilot II). I could get about 12 days from a pair of 13s.

Since I’ve moved on to Private aids (generally ebay) with Marvel/Paradise/Lumity, the Compilot gear doesn’t work, and I sold them on. If you’re planning on keeping the Nathos Auto, you should be able to pick up a used Compilot II reasonably.
