I find myself perpetually perplexed!
so Company #A, merges with Company #X. or cooperation exists between A, X, and even Y to create NU. NU includes advanced, features/technology beyond what either company(s) previously had.
Well now that NU exists, would not A, X and even Y, want to benefit from that advanced tech.
Maybe not immediately, but as soon as possible.
So the next production cycle, NU will no longer be new!
And all will be virtually the same.
No?

Sennheiser looks like the lumity to me, too.
But the lumity and the paradise are so close–mostly the lumity just updated a few features rather than adding new ones. Man I would laugh if Costco rejected the paradise and then phonak re-housed it and sold it back to them again.

Cut/Paste blunder. Thank you for pointing that out. I revised the sheet and while I was at it, I went back to check all of them. The Infinio one is a little tricky since Phonak blocked off a couple of items specific to the Sphere Version and also blocked off the “Autosense 6.0” features and as before blocks off the feature set referred to as “Smart Speech Technology”. I hope others may find this helpful. For a deep dive into any of these features, one can use or Microsoft Co-Pilot. Just open Co-Pilot and type "I would like to understand more about “Phonak’s Infinio Spheric Speech Clarity” for instance. After you see the response, just type “tell me more” and so on.

I prefer the manufacturers spec sheet or white paper then any for now, soon I believe we’ll take AI for granted but not just yet.

I couldn’t agree more, that’s why I printed all 4 spec sheets and used those to make that compare chart (subject to my mis-typing
I did read thru the Phonak and Sennheiser marketing materials where they have expanded discussions of what a particular feature does. During that research I came to find out that the current data stores seem to include text from those same marketing materials verbatum. In anycase, even those can change from updates etc. When it comes decision time, I read everything the mfg. publishes and then I consider all the good info found by fellow Hearing trackers.

I seem to recall 4 options since 2000 when I bouught my first ’s KS 9.0. I believe its been at that since, excepting removal of KS 10.0 last year.
Will be replacing my originals in a month and am thankful for this forum.

My Costco (Seattle area, Washington state) has only carried three (Philips, Jabra, Rexton) since I first started paying attention last fall. On Monday (this week) they had added the Sennheiser.
I was in for a device consultation, and asked about the Sennheiser (I love my Sennheiser noise-cancelling headphones). Audiologist steered me away from them, saying that in her opinion the Philips were the best option for my pattern of hearing loss, and that hadn’t changed. She seemed to also be subtly saying she didn’t think much of the Sennheisers.
I don’t know anything (and can generally prove it), but… two datapoints - one, that a costco now carries all 4, didn’t drop one of the prior 3. And, two, that at least one audiologist is not excited about the addition.

It’s nonsense of course, any are suitable for any loss, and I’m not surprised they don’t think much of them because they know it’s old technology disguised as the “latest” from Phonak…I mean Sennheiser.

You sure have a bee in your bonnet over the Sennheiser aids. Every post about them you just ramble on about them not being 2024-2025 level technology.
While that’s not untrue, there’s not another aid at Costco that works as seamlessly with Bluetooth and android phones of any model. It might not be important to you, but it’s very important to people young enough to still be going to school or working in an office where phone connectivity is hugely important. After a person spent 4-5 years with KS9 or KS10 aids they’ve grown dependent upon that feature as part of their daily life. The Sennheiser aids fill that gap with a technology level that’s more advanced than the KS9 or KS10. Most folks who aren’t on this forum won’t know and won’t care about the fact that they’re a single tech generation behind.
I’ve got both the up to date Rexton and the Sennheiser. I use the Sennheiser aids daily and I am quite happy with them. The Rexton aids are nice, but they don’t work seamlessly with android. My trial of the Philips 9050 aids showed me they weren’t what I wanted. The tech was kind of hinting to me to go Phillips because they had bad luck with previous generation of the Rexton. When I explained to her that the Philips aids focus their mics where you look and they’re useless in the car when driving she had a moment when you could see the revelation on her face.

There in nothing wrong about educating folks that the Sennheiser aids are using old technology. Folks need to go in with their eyes open. These devices cost a lot of money.
A lot folks haven’t experienced what the Jabra 30 or the Phonak Spheres can do in a challenging noisy environment.
And frankly, I’m not buying a new hearing aid that can’t receive an broadcast.

Nope not at all, it actually seems you may have tho?
Every post about them you just ramble on about them not being 2024-2025 level technology
Sorry your “rambling” but it’s important that people know, some are easily "hoodwinked " for your information Lumity was released in 2022, so it’s old technology disguised as “new release”
While that’s not untrue
Finally something that’s right.
there’s not another aid at Costco that works as seamlessly with Bluetooth and android phones of any model
Sorry your wrong again, I don’t have any problem with mine, like a lot of others as well, of course plenty with issues as well, but so what?
It might not be important to you, but it’s very important to people young enough to still be going to school or working in an office
What nonsense, us older folk like to use these in our daily life as well, and yeah we still actually “work”
The Sennheiser aids fill that gap with a technology level that’s more advanced than the KS9 or KS10
Oh really, tell us all about all these new and wonderful and advanced technology in the Lumity platform, just sounds like a Phonak fan boy crying wolf to me.
Most folks who aren’t on this forum won’t know and won’t care
Wow really, well my posts are for people who take the time and consideration to find information about , this is why they come to hearingtracker, to get as much information as possible, so yeah those that aren’t reading these posts are obviously not going to worry, again this is why it needs to be said, so those that do “know” the truth…
I use the Sennheiser aids daily and I am quite happy with them.
Oh fan boy misgivings sorry you brought into the old technology but at least you like them, I guess that’s all that matters (to you that is)
My trial of the Philips 9050 aids showed me they weren’t what I wanted.
Exactly the point right, everyone has their own experience and decided what’s best for them, just like you’ve done.
When I explained to her that the Philips aids focus their mics where you look and they’re useless in the car when driving
Depending on what program your in right, directional microphones are available adaptive directionality, omnidirectional etc, honestly they should work and be helpful even in a vehicle?

Tenkan…wow. Guess you told me. I won’t be back. Wonder how many other people are chased off by your abrasive personality.

Why be like that, why would you consider saying away? abrasive me… you’ve taken it all wrong, I corrected some incorrect statements, that’s all,.

I can sure see why @timfoil made his comment and agree with them. Just because Sonnet R hasn’t got Bluetooth doesn’t make them antiquated. They just might be a better hearing experience for many that’s better than the other three Costco aids. Who are we to judge, everyone’s hearing is different. We both know this.
I for one flat love the Bluetooth classic the way it functions. It’s reliable and easy. I am looking forward to LE Audio but it’s still a ways out to get the systems going and bugs worked out. If that happens it will be great but it could be years for that to happen. All this time Bluetooth classic is smoothly operating.
You’re ignoring this member’s posts.
My point was not V classic Bluetooth, even tho LE Audio is the new standard and that Lumity/Sennheiser will never get that, no my point to @Timfoil was was they are in fact old technology disguised as the latest models/news from Sennheiser
( Phonak/Sonova) you can see what Sonova are doing, flogging off all the old stock they can’t get rid off as new models from Sennheiser great marketing right! So again this is not a Bluetooth thing ![]()
