I’ve been using the certus one myself, so I can give you my honest experience. I was also rather sceptical because they’re so much cheaper than the big-name hearing aids, but I can honestly say they surprised me.
They are proper hearing aids, not just some cheap sound amplifier.for me, the biggest difference is being able to follow conversations much more easily, particularly when someone is speaking from another room, voices sound natural and clear, and I find myself forgetting I’m even wearing them after a while.
At £149.99 the pair, I think they’re exceptionally good value. I know Phonaks are excellent hearing aids, but I personally couldn’t justify spending over £2000 when the Certus one is doing what I need it to do
. The 90-day trial is what convinced me to try them in the first place — you’ve got plenty of time to see how they work for your own hearing rather than taking a gamble.
I’d genuinely recommend giving them a try before spending £2k. worst case, you decide they’re not suitable and return them; best case, you’ve just saved yourself a huge amount of money. I’m very happy with mine and wouldn’t hesitate to buy them again.
