Clinical Audiogram, InsituGram... aren't enough? (Signia Silk C&G 7IX)

I think that the Clinical , the InsituGram and automatic settings - that’s not enough.
I listened to ~7000 Hz and ~8000 Hz from the frequency generator app “Hertz” (Google Play) on my mobile: my left ear could hear it, but my RIGHT EAR COULD NOT at all.
I increased the frequency on my right ear to 7625 Hz (6 steps+) and 9375 Hz (2 steps+). Now, 8000 Hz on my right ear became audible.

All this is probably due to some automatic optimizations in the Connexx program. Have you met such a situation?
How do you see this method of checking?

I have and it’s to be expected, you can’t always go by your audogram, it’s just a guide, lots of variables to take into account, this is the beauty of , only we know what we hear! Plus easy to make adjustments on the fly to get the results that we require.

I’ve done some reading on this, and it seems that when 8000 Hz is slightly outside the gain range (at least for me, with the Signia Silk C&G 7IX), the sound optimization algorithm refrained from significantly boosting this frequency to ensure high quality of the other parameters, just in case.

Fortunately, with this , nothing bad happens once this amplification level is reached :-).

Yep this is what it’s supposed to do, and that includes any frequency response that would get saturated, you don’t won’t distortion, and this is what the is for, all set depending on ones audogram, nice
