Hello, I am a 2nd year PhD student at the University of Salford, UK. I am also a hearing aid user myself.
My research is focused on the use of music to promote positive mental health, psychological wellbeing, and to improve quality of life. Previous research in this area has excluded people with hearing loss - I therefore wish to recruit people with hearing loss (and hearing aid users) to take part in a survey so that their views and experiences can be heard.
If you are 18 years old or older, have experience of hearing loss, and regularly listen to music in your day-to-day life then you are eligible to take part.
This study has received a favourable opinion from the University of Salford Ethics Panel, ref: 2025-9262-12263
To take part, please follow this link: https://app.onlinesurveys.jisc.ac.uk/s/salford/hearing-loss-wellbeing-and-music15 - the survey will take about 20 minutes to complete.
If you have any questions, please contact the research team on a.m.beckwith@edu.salford.ac.uk
