I need hearing aids - no question abut it.

However I’m having real issues trying to get a set that works for me and are user friendly. I thought I found the answer (after 5 different attempts) with these new ones that are enhanced,

They worked fantastic the first day I wore them out of Costco - after that, is when the issues began, for example here are some of the issues:-

the left one is sometimes working, sometimes not working, and sometimes is showing on phone as NOT working - even when it is!

Then the right one stops completely, and is showing

What is showing on the phone is the Bluetooth connection NOT weather the aid is working.

when you say not working … does the aid turn off ? or just change volume ? When it happens have you pressed the button on the aids?

Rebooting my phone tends to fix similar issues. Usually caused by me jumping around between the various programs, possibly a bit too quickly. Phone is a Samsung S25.

Rebooting the can sometimes help too.

On the left one when it isn’t working, pressing the button can you hear the beep in the other ear? If so this kind of points to a receiver issue. From my experience the app at least on IOS has much to be desired. Opening the app and waiting for both hearing aids to connect is sometimes slow, sometimes one shows up and the other doesn’t. It almost as if the ’s aren’t connected to LE bluetooth until the app opens. My starkey hearing aids, I open the app and it’s good to go, can immediately make changes.

Take them into Costco and see what they can do for you.

What phone do you have? I recently swapped out a 2-3 year old iphone SE for a Pixel 9, and I’ve been shocked by the improvement in staying connected. I think that’s because the 2024 phone just stays connected better than a 2022 phone does.

Connectivity is rock solid for me except when an battery is close to out of juice (I use disposables).
