I’ve been using the Kirkland KS-10 so I decided to get new because of the charging issues and degradation of my right ear. I ordered the Jabra ES 700 and have been wearing them for a few days. They came with a basic program which got me started. I took their online hearing test with headphones turn up all the way which said I was profoundly deaf - (which is NOT true. I’m moderate in the left and severe in the right with a downward slope from 1KHz.) They downloaded a new program based on this test. So far they are not any better than the KS10s but they do need tweeking. Like the KS-10s I am getting distortion in my bad ear so I think perhaps the recievers are being overdriven for that ear? Maybe I need a for that one. Anyway the Bluetooth was an attractive feature but I found that most of my PCs don’t support it. Fortunately my Samsung phone does and I bought a FlooGoo 120 dongle which does work after some setup. I will be zoom meeting with a Jabra audiologist next week so I will see if I can improve performance.
The list price on these is about $3000 {Correction $2000}, but I purchased thru AARP for $1700 only to find out that they offer a 2 year war/serv plan instead of the standard 3 year. I have 100 days to decide.
