Nucleus Smart new version won’t connect to standard HI in other ear

I am in UK and until the recent update only needed the Nucleus Smart app to control both Nucleus8 and the Amplifon Omnia.

Hearing Australia (Government owned) have done a deal with Resound. HA’s being sold by Hearing Aus are rebranded. What I have is the Enzo 3D (that’s what I was told) rebranded as XA788-DWHT.

That is surprising (to me) as my Amplifon branded Resound Omnia has worked with my N8, both controlled in the Nucleus Smart app (until the recent update). I would have expected your rebranded Resound Enzo 3D to be the same.

The Enzo 3D is an extremely old HA platform. It was manufactured way back around 2017? or before.

Your Omnia is only a few years old manufactured 2022? or thereabouts.

I’m assuming it’s the technology in both aids is vastly different. I’m assuming it’s the technology difference that’s preventing the 3D from being compatible with the NS app.

@Neville are my assumptions right, do you know?

@Deaf_piper have you tried setting up a triple click of the side button shortcut to the Accessibility settings. You can change everything on both aids from one screen, except front focus.

@boreham I will look into that when I’m up and going. It’s 6:30 am here. I’ve used the triple click to use live listen but can’t remember using it for my hearing devices.

Yes, Live Listen is down the bottom of the same screen. I have been using the Triple click short cut for the last two months since the app stopped working, but just recently starting using the two apps method like you. It is moot which is better…personal preference.
