Oticon Real and Genie "Directionality settings"

I’ve been playing around with the Genie software and came upon the >Fitting > Moresound Intelligence > Directionality settings page.

Option settings were Nueral Automatic, Full Directional, Fixed Omni.

Can anyone explain the benefits of each “option” and their personal preferred “option” in various situations such as restaurants, car, TV, music, etc.

no answers, but following, i too have played around. Reals advertise the open sound concept, but i’ve found in restaraunts, that’s horrible, its just super loud clangiing, all the background. I’m going to try the full directional next see if hearing the person across from me improves.

Currently trialing the Reals and I’m finding restaurants quite good. In restaurants I had the volume up too loud and everything sounded like crap.
I think the key for restaurants in particular, is use the General setting, setting a lower level for volume (within reason, too loud a setting is horrible) with speech boost on and backing off the highs a bit in the equalizer helps.
The mics are set in the Neural Automatic setting.
