I have the Philips 9050 TR and although the tinnitis that i was suffering from is better, the sound is tinny and background noise in crowded restaurants is terrible! I bought it from Costco and they have been very nice, tried twice to adjust the sensitivity so that i could have a conversation in a noisy restaurant. They convinced me to buy an audioclip 2.4G DG to use as a . Honestly, that made things even worse! Maybe I am asking too much of hearing aids, but this is ridiculous. Why can’t they program the aids so that they preferentially increase the volume coming only from directly in front of the wearer. It would seem to me that there are microphones that have better directionality, they just need to incorporate that into the aids. I will call am make another appointment and let Costco get another shot at having the aids set up so they are useful to me. Currently, my feeling is that they are not worth the price, or aggrevation.
