PHONAK hearing aid — the receiver latch broke

I don’t know but the discussion below recommends someone who repairs aids at a good price
If you’re looking for affordable hearing aid repairs, I highly recommend this company. I had two Oticon More 1 hearing aids repaired for just $168 total—including shipping. They replaced one microphone and fixed both switches. What’s even better is they can service nearly any brand or model, no matter how old. I had mine repaired back in April 2025, and they’re still working perfectly as of September 2025. [IMG_5846]

Lloyd’s Hearing Aids can help you out.
Which Phonak aid broke? Model#
JB Weld can fix just about anything. More pictures of the broken aid might help too.

I’m an amateur, I just don’t think anyone other than Phonak will fix it. Because that receiver locking mechanism is on the motherboard. So I think Phonak will just replace the entire motherboard rather than fix that tiny part that would have to be peeled off the board.
I may be wrong, but ask the others anyway.

FYI, in this thread and this thread you find some pictures of a funktional Phonak Audio Receiver locking pin/retention latch and maybe more help.

I have the exact same problem with my Costco KS10.
Were you changing the receiver when it happened? I pushed the pin the wrong way and this item fell out. Looking at £120 for repair at Costco here in UK. In the mean time I have used a small strip of duct tape to keep the receiver attached to the body. You’re ignoring this member’s posts.
I’m confused, isn’t this just the locking pin, you could just open the housing and fit it back in.

Thing is, it’s minuscule in size, and i’m unable to see how it fell out without the case being open.

Yes correct you’ll need to open the housing, which isn’t that hard, but I’m it’ll only go back in one way, so decent glasses and a tool to remove the pins and it’s possible, otherwise you’ll have to let Costco send it back to Phonak.
It’s actually very easy, just remove the pins holding the housing and fit back in, of course you do need to take care, but I’ve discussed how it’s done a few times on the forum, but best just watch the video here. [Phonak Audeo P (Paradise) Overview]

I opened up my hearing aid, but this small part is broken. PHONAK won’t sell me the replacement part—they only allow sending it back to the factory for repair, and the repair cost is very expensive.

If you know which aid you have another option would be to buy a used aid off eBay for example. Use that aid for parts.

Bit the bullet and Costco have sent my KS10 aid for repair, £120
At least I’m getting new receivers for both aids, so no more Cerushield.![]()
