Question about any info or opinions maybe?

Hello it’s me again.

I was at doctor and audiologist yesterday and it was long time but I had a lot of tests done and the doctor also looked at my fibromyalgia information and my medical history. This doctor is a top expert in my home country for ENT and audiology and he also does cochlear implant. I had two situations this year. scan with no headphones and after this my ears do ringing tinnitus which I didn’t before. And emergency surgery appendectomy which take me 2 hours to wake up from after the anestesia. With everything and all his tests he suggested I try to find Bernafon and Widex to try, and if they don’t help to consider cochlear implant. So I found Bernafon Leox UP I am going try next week but didn’t find Widex yet and if anyone knows anything about them or can give me some opinions about this situation please, I really will be grateful. Just to hear a bit more if possible of real experiences if anyone have? Thank you.

I own a Widex SmartRIC 440 hearing aid, and I love them (their sound is very natural). Streaming sound is just ok. Additionally, they have a program called Zen that has worked well for me for tinnitus, and it is quite pleasant to listen to. If you want to test the Zen Tinnitus therapy, you can install it on your phone and see if you like it.

That said, my hearing loss is different than yours and I have never used Widex devices. My experience may not apply to you.

The best is to try both and see which one you like better.

Which Widex model were you offered?

Thank you for reply! I didn’t get any model offered. The place we contacted they closed for the day and on Monday need to contact again and see what they will offer. I just hope they have a powerful hearing aid that is because for me it hurts speakers in ear so I avoid. Here it is a bit hard to find powerful hearing aids that isn’t older. But I don’t mind older as long doesn’t make my fibromyalgia pain worse or make the tinnitus happen, which happens to me sometimes from other hearing aids I tried. I will try download that Zen thing thank you so much for mentioning, I didn’t know of it.
