I have Resound Vivia hearing aids and often, one of them will be reported by the ReSound Smart phone app as not being connected, which the bluetooth settings on my (Pixel android) phone show both are connected. Occasionally this “fixes” itself but more often than not I have to “Pair new Hearing Aids “ within the Resound phone app. Are others having this problem?
I got a lot of disconnects on my iphone SE (2022 version), too.
For my purposes, the iphone was much better than my Samsung S20 5G - fewer disconnects, faster reconnects, and faster response to taps. The problem that got me to switch to Apple was that I muted my aids during long commercials. While muted, my aids seemed to lose connection with the app and/or the phone, and unmuting was slow, so I’d miss dialog. Recently I upgraded to an ad-free streaming service, so I no longer feel a need to mute for commercials. Besides, I’ll probably get new aids soon, and I want an -capable phone,
I’ve had a Pixel 9 for almost 2 weeks, and WRT Bluetooth, it is about as good as my iphone SE. It disconnects more than I’d like it to, but not noticeably more than the iphone, and it reconnects faster than the iphone does.
A newer iphone might be better than the Pixel, but I like Android much more than ios. Besides, Apple isn’t interested in auracast.
I have no idea what the problem’s are, but I imagine stronger radios and batteries with more energy storage are the answer.
Yes, I’m having that connection problem with my Jabra 30’s and my Samsung S20 5G, but only with the right hearing aid. No matter what I do now, it won’t connect. Restarting the phone used to work. Not any more. I’ve followed all the instructions on the app, when that didn’t work, deleted the app and put it back on, etc. About ready to go to my Costco guy for help.
Try this… un-pair all hearing aid bt connections on the s20. Go to Settings, then bt, then look for hearing aids under Paired Devices and click the gear icon and Unpair. Then go to Settings and then Apps, then Enhance Pro, then in the app, clear Cache and clear Data. Now uninstall the Enhance Pro app. Restart phone. Then go to Playstore and get the app and try to pair totally from scratch and be sure to allow all notifications, even go into the app settings to allow every notification
I started out the process, Jinxed, but after unpairing, I noticed a couple settings under notifications weren’t on, such as microphone, so put them on. Then repaired, and both hearing aids connected after going through all the connection steps! Yay!
A few years ago, my Resound hearing aids kept disconnecting or only connecting one hearing aid with my Samsung phone S10e. It turned out my Amazfit (Bluetooth) watch was causing interference. When I stopped using that the aids stayed fully connected for the most part.
