Genebadears,
Thanks for the advice, although that was not the problem. I had an appointment with my audiologist today and she found the problem with my left aid. The problem was that the slots that allow sound into the microphones on the left aid were clogged with debris. She gave me a tool and showed me how to remove the top of the aid so I can clear the slots myself if it happens in the future. I’m not quite sure how that happened, possibly when working in the yard. When I cut grass, I usually have my aids on but they are also covered by sound blocking head phones and I stream music to the aids. Anyway, I must apologize to Apple as I kept thinking it was their fault with the iOS updates that were having Bluetooth issues, even going on a rant one day about bringing Steve Jobs back from the dead. Why it would sometimes turn on and I could hear out of that ear is still a mystery to my audiologist and me. That is the part that made me think it was a Bluetooth problem. Anyhow, I am a happy camper now that I can hear again. Mucho thanks to everyone on here that writes in with their experiences! My Linx 961s are now working with my new iPhone 6 and iOS 8.1. I loaded 8.1 Monday as soon as it was released hoping that it would solve my problem. I streamed music on the way home today and the sound was better than in the past. At the audi’s suggestion, she changed the Noisetracker setting from the default of mild to moderate for when I am streaming from the iPhone. I also had her change the Streamer Bass Boost from the default of mild to moderate as I have earpieces on my aids and it helps add more bass when streaming. I think it helped when streaming. The sound was much richer and clearer.
