Sennheiser Sonite Rise not staying connected by Bluetooth to my android phone

I just got these aids today. Any suggestions?

Everytime after I do anything with them….walk out of range, turn them off for a shower then back on, etc. The aids seems to still be paired in the app, but on the phone’s bluetooth page only the L Sennheiser with teh little bluetooth icon shows up under the paired list. Well actually bot L and R, but if I click on R to try forcing a connect it just falls off the list.

rebooting the aid doesn’t do it

It seems that I have cycle the power on the right aid, then cycle bluetooth on the phone off then back on for the R-Sennheiser with the little headphone icon to show up in the available devices list.

As these are rebranded Phonak models, you have a master slave setup for Bluetooth streaming, so only one is connected which then transmits to the other side, so your left is master and your right is the slave.

yeah, well I guess I’m not really sure about any of this….just fumbling through it.

It’s weird. Yesterday i had several instances of lost connections

this morning, I turned them on and they connected without issue or drama. I’ve cycled them off and then back on after a time and they connected just fine for streaming. Seems to have fixed itself. huh?

Anyway, what I’ve got in my phones bluetooth menu is R-Sennheiser with the little headphones icon, and it says “in use, Battery 77%”. Also in the paired devices list is L-Sennheiser, with the bluetooth icon. No indication that it’s connected or in use

and going to the app, it’s wheeling for quite a while trying to connect to them. Several minutes now and it keeps popping up connection failed, then it retries.

Eventually I cycled my phone’s bluetooth off then back on and it connected right away

“Stay Connected” is toggled on in the app
