So I currently wear 10 year old pair of Starkey Z Series 70 and about to purchase my first new pair after a decade+ with the current ones.
My requirements were the following:
- CIC Shell
- Power receiver capable of 70db gain
- None of the cute algorithms to mess with sounds etc
- I want it to sound like my current aids which is…let me hear everything in their real sound and do not suppress or try to drown out other environmental noises.
- And finally, no, I do not want a setting for music, conversations, quiet time, or any of that stuff. One setting for all sounds, and maybe a program two that mirrors settings #1 but slightly louder, and that’s all.
I’m being recommended a pair of Starkey Evolv 1000 CIC which will run about $3500 I think. No bluetooth, non-rechargeable, but the most basic and it’s a 10 channel hearing aid versus my 3 channel aids I currently wear and will give me what I’m asking for.
Also was recommended if I wanted an upgrade into rechargeable and more features, the Stakey Signature Series but these would run about $5500. And as for all the fancy AI features, they can be turned off.
Anything I may be missing or should be informed of before I make the purchase? I’m leaning towards the Evolv 1000. I’m being told there is a Evolv 1200? Should I look into this?
Thank you in advance for any help!! Attached is a photo of my latest hearing test.
