Is the lag while the hearing aids connect to your phone, when answering an incoming call, also be adjusted in the hearing aid software?

No it isn’t. I suspect they regard that as needed so you have time to prepare yourself to receive e the call. It doesn’t answer the call until you accept it.

Hi and welcome! Just wanted to chime in — the Jabra Enhance Pro 30 is one of the best hearing aids on the market right now. Not only does it offer long battery life, but it also supports some of the most future-ready technologies, including — the upcoming Bluetooth broadcast standard for public and multi-device audio sharing.
We’ve tested both the Avantree Voyager and C82 Aura (Auracast USB-C transmitters) with the Pro 30, and they work smoothly. Once you have your Jabra Enhance 30s, you might consider one of these if you’re planning to stream from different sources — they work with most USB-C or AUX devices like phones, computers, TVs, airplane seats, even treadmills.

I have had my J Pro 30’s for almost two weeks now. I found the same issues with the App. I too stream a lot and the app will show that either both or just the left ear is NOT connected even while it streams. Audio in the middle of a call or while streaming will alternately go down in both ears like (the pick up mic) is pointing in opposite directions. I have a Samsung S21+ on Android 15
So far Pros: 1. the ‘Hear In’ mode is fantastic. It really does seems to put a cone of silence around the table keeping out distant noises. 2. is handy for home streaming from the TV. 3. The battery life of the ’s has been good, but I have to charge them every night because they do not quite make it two full days. 4. The noise filter mode in All Around seems to work fairly well in a noisy environment and speech clarity also seems to work well.
Cons: 1. Having to hold the phone near my face to make a call is just stupid because it uses the S21+ mic in the call not the HA’s. (even my KS9’s worked hands free!!!) This is a BIG DEAL! 2. The App keeps disconnecting the HA’s and it takes A LOT of fiddling around to reconnect them. 3. If for some reason I go out of range for the Bluetooth, they do NOT auto reconnect when I am near my phone again. 4. Audio from my phone like ringing and Notification tones is an all or nothing deal and most of the time it is nothing, as in my phone rings and I hear nothing in the HA’s. 5. Adjusting the audio between the your phone. streaming, external devices and notifications is an exercise in endurance because it is not easy. 6. Without the app on the phone these are no better than dumb HA’s so you will need an up to date phone to be able to use any advantages they offer. 7. There is a lag time establishing a call when answering an incoming call. I did not have this on my KS9’s
Verdict: still undecided whether it is worth the extra $100 and poor app performance to keep them. Still have 5.5 months to decide so I will be patient and hope they can get these issues worked out soon.

I have a Samsung S24fe and have experienced none of these issues. With my phone in my pocket and i get a call, it always rings in my aids and i tap either aid to answer. Do you have the hands free option toggled in the app? Also, there is zero lag when i get a call, as soon as i tap, the call picks up. Also never have had an issue where only 1 aid connects to bt, or drops once connected.
Do you have ALL permissions enabled in the app? I found having them all enabled provided a more stable experience. Just fyi…

My story…
July 2025 purchased Jabra Enhace 30 from Costco.
Senior associate fitted me for these as well as my prevous Costco K9.
I have these hearing problems:
*hearing higher pitched voices, like Valley Girl speak, etc.
*large enclosed areas, restaruants etc, where sound deadening is an unknown art form.
The Jabra Enhance 30 was recommended, due to its new feature set.
I was a bit hesitant when I found out they were released in the spring of 2025 and were “new”. I worked in technology for my livelihood, and if I learned anything, the manufacturers “do their quality control testing” on the consumer.
I am suffering this fact, these hearing aids
- Squeel, even after the 2nd visit
- Bluetooth must be a new technology to deal with for Jabra…
* Pairing with the phone lasts less than an hour
Phone calls don’t work (my Widex from 2015, and the Costco K9 from 2020, worked perfectly)
* Music streaming quality is horrible, usually only one aid streams music! - the settings, (focus conversation, etc) OTHER than Mute which works, don’t really do much at all, not worth the bother.
- button on the hearing aid to mute, etc., they decided to place it not at the top of the hearing aid where is it easy to reach, some engineer decided to put the button near the bottom of the hearing aid in a position which is hard to reach
*the phone app may look promising, if the hearing aids stay paired more than an hour
My phone is Samsung s21 5g, Android 15, current.
The senior hearing tech at my Costco knows her stuff and in 2 visits tried very hard to make things right.
Unless Jabra themselves want to get involved to fix things, these may be going back, which is too bad because I have spent too much time trying to get these Jabra Enhance 30 to work. I am open to working with Jabra to fix this, if they have the bandwidth,

I can’t see any hands free toggle in the app. Which menu is that under?
I picked up my Jabra 30s yesterday. So far they have been ok but no way near as good as my previous Phonak Virto Paradise for streaming or Bluetooth connection.
I have mine with a hearing aid but I’m not sure if I will keep that as I think it works pretty well in is own.
One thing I can’t work out is what the button does on the hearing aid. A single press allows to change programmes however when doing a long press for a couple of seconds it makes a different type of sound. What is that?
Also what does the button do on the CROS?

I think many of your issues are due to the old phone you are using. If you don’t want to buy a new phone, then I suggest you return the Jabra hearing aids for a refund.

I just checked and sure enough microphone and phone were not allowed
I have enabled them, now we wait and see. Thanks for the tip!

I would guess that the microphone placement, on top, was probably more important than the button placement? The users manual spells out the button functions…

You will probably not like this answer but your issues are most likely tied to the age and tech of your phone. The S21 was released on Jan '21. Only the S23+ phones support BT , the optimal communication protocol that a JAbra 30 uses today.
S22 and lower use protocol, which has many limitations, including some of the ones you describe. You did not have this problem with the K9 because that device is made by Phonak, which uses classic bluetooth - that protocol works well with all bluetooth devices at the expense of more energy use.
Squeal – Costco can fix that.
IF BT is extremely important and you want to keep your phone, the Sennheiser is likely a better fit for BT communications and, you should discuss this with the Costco HIS. I’m surprised the HIS did not warn you about this: That;s what of the first things my HIS at Costco discussed with me (Phone compatibility).
Its almost like saying: Why can’t my phone run ver 16, it used to be able to run Android 12 with no problems (not exactly an exact analogy but you get the idea).

I also discovered that I can turn OFF the Bluetooth on my phone, but still receive audio from my TV with it off. Velly velly interesting

My phone is Samsung s21 5g, Android 15, current.
As others have indicated, this is likely one of your problems.
The Compatibility List is here: Jabra Enhance Pro Compatibility | Jabra Support31
I am ordering my Jabra Pro 30s this weekend. Although my phone is listed as being compatible, I am concerned about some of your other issues. My gut says that I’ve got a bit of learning curve to go through with the newer technology.

Jabra Enhance Pro 30 Bluetooth has worked perfectly for us on iPhones with no dropouts etc.
Me on an iPhone 11 and now and an iPhone 16 and my wife on an iPhone 15.
For anyone with an iPhone just make sure “Optimize for MFI” is off in the Jabra app.

It depends what your audiologist has set it to do in the fitting software, but the default is that a long press on one aid increases the volume and on the other aid reduces the volume. I forget which aid does which (and anyway the audiologist may have changed from the default as you have a fitting).
