iPhone + Starkey = Auracast, Finally

A big step forward for accessibility: Starkey has officially enabled Auracast Assistant on iPhone with its latest app update (v6.0.0).

With this release, Edge and Omega AI users can now use their iPhone to discover and join nearby Auracast broadcast audio channels — no external streamer required.

To activate Auracast, hearing aids need the latest firmware (v10.3.1):

  • Available now via in-clinic update

  • Online update rolling out February 25

Auracast is moving from promise to everyday use — and iPhone users are officially in.

I wear Starkey Edge . With the latest update to My Starkey you now a assistant on the app.

Not sure which device you have. Some of our streamer was default encrypted and not sure whether that’s the cause. Please contact Avantree Support and they will help.

Here’s a product that I’d like right now. it’s an Audikast 4 or 4ha with HDMI in and out to support an earc connection between a tv and a sound bar. I hope that makes sense. Any plans for anything like that?

Yes, under development and will be ready in Q2. Internal code is TC600. Similar to the base of Avantree Crescendo. :slight_smile:

I have the Starkey edge

If the Soundgear is equivalent it supports .

The my Starkey app recently updated. They added an auracast assistant to it.

Do you have the assistant in the app?

I also recently purchased a Pixel 10. It also has an auracast assistant in it.

I’ve got an Audikast 4 here that won’t reliably hold an audio signal via optical. Headphone cable works but is no longer an option. I’ve swapped out cables (x3) and tried different power supplies. I’ll get audio for a few minutes at a time but mostly it’s a slow blink on the ‘Audio Signal’ LED.

Any thoughts before I contact Amazon for a return?

Thanks. I’ve made that change. So far so good but I’ll give it a few hours of use before I celebrate. I’ll let you know.

That’s great news — setting the TV to PCM resolves most optical signal issues we see.

Hopefully it stays stable over the next few hours. If anything comes back, just let us know and we’ll work through it together.

Thanks Phoebe. Unfortunately it was back to the slow blinks when I woke up this morning. The setting I changed from was Auto so it might have been using PCM anyway. Latest firmware. I can unplug the cable from the transmitter and plug it into the soundbar and it works immediately. I’ve done this multiple times with three different cables.
