Jabra 30's tap to answer no longer working

As title says… prior to having this issue, the tap to answer worked fine for almost a year. I could tap either aid to answer. First one aid no longer answered when tapped, and now about a month later the other one no longer answers when tapped. The setting is turned on in the app. Anyone else having this issue? I use a Samsung S24 se phone. Tnx

I have major problems over the last month and a half my new hairing aids Jabra enhance pro thirty work for the first 10 days. Great. Then, after that cannot reconnect to the app. Been in numerous times to Costco and back-and-forth with the manufacturer customer support and still can’t get in. Then, I tried the resound app 3D and I actually got on that lasted 4 days and I lost that as far as the tapping goes. I never even got to work that option. they set me up with a new pair, I’m AIDS. And that didn’t work. I’ve tried it with my wife’s phone. My set the sun in laws phone . My wife and I both have the Samsung S twenty four and brother in laws is an s twenty five, same thing could not hook up. The fitter and Costco had an S22 and she gets in fine, but they have a lot of people. Once they get out of the app and go back in or have worked on at costco, and they have to reboot the app or the they cannot get connected back big problem. So they asked me to wait a while they’re working on that issue with all the S23 and newer models ,with version 16.

I love the AIDS when they were working. But I’m just using them without the app until I hear more and try not to go past my return option ed costco. I looked at possibly any of the other three models that costco sells, and they said they have a problem with all it’s basically in the android phone version up-and-up and down Google Pixel. It has to work that out with android. I’m not going to change my Android phone to an iphone .

They don’t need to learn a new system in this stage of my life.I’ll probably be dead before I figured a new phone out!

Is anyone else having this problem in the last few weeks, especially if you rebooted your aids and or phone especially in last 6 weeks ???

What changed? Dis Samsung update the OS?

OTOH, If an OS update caused the problem, I’d expect this thread to have a lot of people reporting the same problem.

I dont have an issue pairing to the app or really any other issues. I can live without tap just fine, but it is convenient. I had an S20 when I got these aids and had issues. Got the S24 fe and they worked perfect but yes, a few updates to phone and the app and now no tap.

I had troubles getting mine paired at first. You may have all of those attemps confusing your phone Try this, go into phone settings, click apps, click enhancepro, click storage, at the bottom, click clear cache and clear, click clear data and clear, go back and uninstall the app. Now app is deleted with app memory erased. So now go to phone Settings, click on Device Care, click on Optimize Now (if available), click on Memory, and click Clean Now. Now all memory from the app is cleared from your phone. Restart your phone. Go to playstore and install EnhancePro. Allow ALL notification permissions by going into phone settings, clicking on enhancepro, click notifications and allow if not already allowed. Click Permissions and click each option going down the list and allow if not already allowed. Now open the EnhancePro app and it should take you step by step thru the pairing process. Its a lot of steps but it was the only way I was able to get mine paired after so many failed attempts. Good luck

Thank you very much for the reply.I believe done exactly that with a fitter.And when we were on line with jabra support. I also went through i believe all same steps ,but i might have missed something. I’m going to get with my fitter. I’ll send her a copy of this and keep trying.Make sure we didn’t miss anything. They claim they’re working on the issue, and can I have me on hold before I give up. They’re keeping a claim open since other people are having it.But I’ll pass this on just to make sure thanks again.

Just got back from Costco fitter and went through all your suggestions and she said she did not do one of the suggestions in your recent post . But after that and some additional cleaning cache and also in a few more areas of my Android phone was still.not able to connect jabra app .

My claim is still open and the manufacturer is still have having problems with Android phones s23 and newer models that also have the 16 version. The s22 and older with version all seem to be connecting fine. Even the stores are reporting some the other brands that Costco sells are are having connection problems to with the android s23 version 16 and never. They are hopeful Andriod will will have a new software up date or just change the version on these models .its been very frustrating for me an a lot of customers.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I hope the manufactures come up with something soon and I hope they maybe are looking at some of these fourms. It’s got to be cost and some big bucks.If this continues very long and lose a lot of business.

This is a longshot, but have you during the period when this stopped working for you added another Bluetooth device to your smartphone? Your question rang a bell for me, because I recently added Bluetooth earbuds to mine which I only realized today when I was reading the earbud manual that the earbuds’ connection to my smartphone had taken over the tap-to-answer function from the aids. (In other words, I can tap the earbud to answer a call; now the hearing aids can’t do it.) I don’t wear the earbuds when I might want to answer my phone; only at night as for listening to white noise etc., so I didn’t even need a tap-to-answer function in the earbuds.

Not lately, I think ,but ill have think more on that. I did have to replace a couple tapo security cameras that use the internet on regular basis ,but i think that when setting up cameras and smart switches in the house it uses blue tooth just while setting up new ones.

But just to set record straight , i am new to this form and wasn’t sure how to set up a topic and I looked at a topic which was on the tap issue. So some more heaven’n’, and I posted on there. The problem my head not being able to connect to the jabra app. Since then I have posted about my real problem and thats not being able to use my app at all 10 days after purchasing my Jabra pro 30. I newer got to trying the tap at all . Sorry I’m probably no help to you . But thanks for reaching out to me offering your help.
