Siemens Motion 100P to Siemens Explorer 500P Export old 100P hearing profile to import to 500P Aids?

Does anyone know what Hardware and Software is needed to read my hearing profiles for L&R Siemens Motion 100P Hearings aids which are long shot . So i can import said profiles to the NOS brand new Siemens Explorer 500P hearing aids ive saved for a few years now.

The Motion P Series and Explorer P series are near identical in size and looks aside from a few differences, I wore the Explorer 500P’s for 2 hours today and they are plenty loud even though they aren’t programmed for my ears . Because of this they gave me a headache but if i can program them or find someone to program them and not cost an arm and a leg then i would be happy.

I know that the Explorer 500P Aids are made for Children and Young People , But they seem to be all i need. Explorer Hearing Aid | Siemens Explorer Hearing Aid1 The website i found the Explorer 500P’s listed on say 2013 which sounds about right as i got my Motion 100P’s in roughly 2005 ish.

I believe i remember seeing the white Hi-pro box with the wires that clipped to my aids jut above the battery . Has 4 little contact points rather than the round micro plug i seen on many of the Hi-Pro programmer boxes.

I really don’t feel like spending $8,000 - $10,000 USD for a new modern set of hearing aids with no Volume controls (wireless programming) and little to no options + i really hate the thin wire tube style Hearing Aids. I have so many Tubes for my current ’s + batteries and would feel like it would be a waste to toss them.

Welcome to the forum @MrFox hey these are so old now you most likely wouldn’t be able to find anyone with the software, the HiPro and cables are available but expensive nowadays, honestly you’d be better off getting a pair of Motion NX and use the Noahlink wireless programming device, much cheaper and easier to .

Thanks , I understand that they are old and i agree the are . “Expensive” how expensive? If they are a few $100 im probably willing to take the risk as i paid very little for the Explorer’s My original Motion ’s cost me $10,000 new back in the day.

I still need to be able to read off my current profiles as i don’t know what they are set to.

Actually not really, you can simply add your manually or do In-situ audiometry within the software (Signia Connexx) and start a new fitting, do you have a Costco around, they have the Rexton (rebranded Signia models) for about $1600us, otherwise yeah go eBay and check out the Signia NX platform, they should be pretty cheap.

Thanks i appreciate your responses , Sorry no Costco here, The Signa NX5 ones are $500+ after shipping and tax . Which is well out of my price range right now , The other ones have that tiny wire tube which i don’t like sadly which leaves out the NX3 series ones. Which is why i would rather use the ones i have already as i paid very little for quite a few years ago but stored them as my current pair wore down to barely usable state.

Sure I understand, just be aware that HiPro and cables will be a few hundred dollars as well, the Chinese copy Mini HiPro is a lot cheaper on AliExpress or similar sites, CS44 cables should do the trick.

I checked the unit themselves and they range from $40 - $225 As for the cables those i have not found that would work with my ’s Most of the ones i find are the round plug style ones. So ill bet that the cables themselves are where the high cost is rather than the HiPro units themselves.

No the HiPro is what will cost you, I don’t think you’ll find one for anything near $40! The cables are available on eBay CS44 and they should be round 4 pin connector, only $25, true I have no idea it they fit your very old models, as some had the old “shoe connecter” that fits onto the battery door, and then the 4 pin cable connects to that, honestly it just doesn’t seem worth chasing old obsolete stuff up like this, plus what about the software, who’s got it? Get that sorted before trying to get the hardware.

If you are able to service or repair them then they are $40+ Madsen HI-PRO Noah Compatible Hearing Aid Programmer | eBay , $60 Madsen HI-PRO Noah Compatible Hearing Aid Programmer 1st Generation | eBay . Yes they use the serial port which I have no issues with. My ’s would of used the white box and not the hi pro 2 (USB) version.

The most expensive one is the hi pro 2 which claims to do all models anyways so $300 almost 400 is still way way better than $1000+ . Cheaper than buying a new set of HA’s.

Ha, Okie dokie, have some fun along the way, yeah the serial port models are a real pita for most, but if your confident you’ll be good to go, remember software and an old XP or 7 PC, I couldn’t wait to dump my serial port for the USB models, as I mentioned before, the Mini Pro worked fantastic, but I still say a cheap pair of from eBay and a Noahlink wireless programming device for around $165 is gonna give you a lot less pain from your wallet, cheers

They could use either, only difference is the speed (not that you could actually notice) and the ports.

Wouldn’t matter which version you used, HiPro did them all, I just remembered that those older HiPro could use the Serial to USB adaptor cable as well, although not all worked as described :wink:

Hi , have installed Connexx 6 incl SiFit and took a screenshot of the PDF with information about the cables. So the Motion P and the Explorer can connected directly to the CS44 cables without any programming boot.

You need to remove an lid on top of the hearing aids to get access the connector that you can attach the CS44 cable. See picture for connection possibity: B

Thanks I will look under the mode select button. I think I don’t have the connector under my motion 100 P ‘s but don’t quote me though as it’s been a long time since I looked on those.

Do you have any information as to which hipro’s to use and the firmware / software that is required to read the current profile settings for the motion 100P’s as I’m looking to export then import them to the explorers then update the settings based on the audio graph I have.

As previously mentioned there’s no “special one” to connect your old models, if you want to make it just “ a little bit” easier on yourself then get the Mini Pro from AliExpress etc

Yes this is why @firenzel uploaded that screenshot for you, remember he said he got the that from Connexx version 6, ask for a copy.
