I purchased Phonak Audeo Infinio Sphere last summer online at great savings, after making sure a local audiologist would be willing to provide and follow-up. At the end of August, the local audi ordered c-shells for me and the result has been very good. But on the last visit in, she told me that the Phonak c-shell design had an issue with retention of the , and sure enough yesterday I realized my right aid was missing its wax guard. I tried to install a new one, but apparently there was insufficient friction in the fit to hold in any new wax guard. I called the audi today and was told they are seeing this a lot and will be contacting Phonak for a resolution. I was wondering if others are seeing this, and if so, are there any suggestions? Maybe someone sells a slightly larger wax guard to close the gap. I’m afraid to wear that hearing aid, because I was told that if ear wax gets down into the c-shell, you can kiss it goodbye.
