Soundgear Amp wider distribution may be coming soon

I am visiting in Illinois and stopped in a Costco to shop and stopped by the HAC to ask a question regarding timing for the upgrade to the Soundgear app. They did not carry the Amps but told me that they expected there to be a full roll out soon which hopefully will coincide with the app upgrade. I had previously been told by Soundgear customer service that the app upgrade is supposed to happen in April.

Thanks for the update. Did you get your Soundgear ?

What is your thoughts on them. Do you use iPhone or Android. How is streaming?

Any info you can supply would be great.

I’ve had them for about 3 weeks. Night and day compared to my Eargo 7’s. I’ve used them in various situations that would have made hearing well difficult and with a few exceptions, they have been great. My bt connection was just okay using an iphone 15 pro but updating to IOS 26.4.1 improved the connection. Putting it in my pocket before the update was a problem but not after the update. This helped make streaming music more tolerable. Not as good as my AirPod pro3’s or other bt headphones I have but good enough that I don’t find myself taking them out to listen to music. When I listen through speakers in my music room with the music setting in, it is great. I have a subwoofer which helps balance out the highs bit even without the sound quality is great.

I was just in the Hendersonville TN location and the manager there told me he wasn’t expecting them until the end of the year :person_shrugging:

I doubt it will be that long. Statically most new trial releases have been about 6 months from initial trial release to all stores release.

I guess we will find out soon enough. The person I spoke to seemed to suggest they have received info and maybe training so hopefully, sooner rather than later. I’m just hoping for the app to be updated so I can try out some of the streaming/ devices I purchased.

I live in Lebanon, TN and the Mount Juliet location doesn’t have the Soundgear Amp. I didn’t know about the trial releases, so I will ask about future availability when I go back for gasoline.
