Please help me to better understand and compare these two aids. Have any of you actually trialed both?
Just watching a Dr Cliff video about Oticon's new reveal aids. This really has me wondering if I should loosen my fixation on Phonak. I never before really understood the philosophy taht he's saying they have.... to help focus on clarity in background noise, as opposed to Phonak focusing on removing the background noise
I trialed Oticon's aids 7 years back before going with Phonak Marvels. What I remember was the soumnd was better with the Oticons and they handled wind noise and such much better
But as an android user I did not want to deal with the connectclip or whatever it was called
and maybe even more than that I very much prefer the Phonak Autosense. Except for some very occasional experimentation, I NEVER had to even think about changing programs with my marvels except in the rare cases when I wanted to turn on .
It seems like as long as I have a newer android, that part has been fixed with Oticon (Phillips). I would have to upgrade my phone, but that's not a big deal since my phone is pretty long in the tooth now anyway. I'm happy to do that if it means a good hearing aid experience
How is the Phillips program switching? Is it automated and seamless now?
I'm still well within my return window for these Sennhesier aids that I'm trialing. I haven't been back yet for my follow-up adjustements so the jurry is still out, but so far I can't say that these are offering the improvement I expected jumping over two generations of aids, going all the way form Marvel to Infineo....
I understand that the phillips is now something like 2-year-old tech...so that's probably not in their favor for this comparision....
And that leads me to wonder will Costco likely get a newer oticon/phillips offering fairly soon?
