I've had the I90s for a year and a half. I got my audiologist to set up Sphere mode as a custom program and turned off auto sphere mode. I did this initially because I had a big trip via multiple flights scheduled. I have no issues with battery life. I wear them 16 hours a day and stream frequently throughout the day for extended periods.

AFAIK, it isn't possible to completely turn off the Spheric Speech in Noise subprogram in Autosense program.
I think your audiologist maximised the threshold at which this subprogram s engaged. She/He probably simply moved the threshold slider all the way to the right.

I am thinking that perhaps my mod-severe hearing loss is using up quite a large amount of power. Curently trialling the EON to see if they give me that bit more time.

I am guessing that the spheric option must be kicking in a lot and it will drain the battery quicker. Certainly the free ultra software upgrade extends battery life significantly. In your shoes I would be more inclined to carry the charger with me as it has an inbuilt battery so you could give the aids a boost.

My Spheres are setup with a custom Calm Situation (most options deactivated) as the default program, so no spheric can cut in unless I switch to Autosense or a Custom Spheric program. I was used to seeing a 3-4% difference in battery level towards the end of the day. I recently switched from a Motorola Edge 20 Pro (Bluetooth Classic only) to a Google Pixel 10 Pro. This is when the large discrepancy in battery usage started and I suspect that there is something going on with the Bluetooth LE causing the drain in my case, as evidenced by the excess drain changing when the Bluetooth side is changed in Target. Still trying things like disabling Bluetooth LE settings in Developer Options on the Pixel 10 Pro etc.

This applies to Phonak Infinio Spheres with Ultra update, Pixel 10 Pro running Android 17.
It appears that the one-sided drain issue has been resolved for my case.
Google identified issues with some settings in Bluetooth Settings and in Developer Options on Android.
Using Google AI has provided a number of steps which I followed (mostly) and has resulted in 3 days now without any high drain on one side. The clue is that the drain changed to the other side when the Bluetooth side was changed in Target. Rather than paste it all in this post I've attached a link to a PDF5 of the steps taken. Please note that where strikethrough text is used in the PDF, a step was not carried out.
As always YMMV. HTH.
