You can buy Noahlink Wireless 2 on eBay for around $180 and make your adjustments at home any time you wish. You can also download Oticon Genie 2 software. I take it that you already own Windows PC?

The screenshots are from the Genie2 software that is available for download via request in the forum here. To use it, you need a Windows PC and a Noah link device; e.g., from EBay or Amazon.

Saw your name. Made me look. Fred Flintstone. First reaction: that ain’t Dino. Wasn’t the family pet named Dino? A big dog? Not a cat!
Looked at your . Similar to mine…What hearing aids do you use? How do they work for you? Thinking I should find a better hearing aid next time around.

I think Dino was a young dinosaur.
I’m 2 years in with Oticon Mores 1. Before these, I had OPN-1’s. The Mores are nicer but, I have trouble with groups of people even in quiet settings. Crowds are impossible.
My word recognition score is in low 70’s so that may be my real problem.
One on one conversations are good. TV adapter is great. Iphone conversations are great.
I tried Phonak P-90’s for a while but preferred Oticons.

I have been wearing INTENT1 aids now for a week. They are awesome for my needs. My word recognition scores are below 60% without aids and with the INTENT1 aids I am understanding over 90%. With my More1 aids it was about 75% and with Real1 aids 80 to 85%.
I will never say the INTENT aids will work for everyone, just that you never know unless you try them.

Thank you, Kemp.
My audi is going to recommend them for me in August. She wanted to do it in March but I wanted to hold out for the disposable battery models. After your reviews, I’m ready to go with rechargeables now.

I do a few hours of streaming daily and my app says that I should be able to get between 22 and 24 hours of battery life out of my aids. Also the INTENT smart charger is great and smaller than the smart charger for the More and Real aids.

How are phone calls? I have the oticon More 1 which i think sound great on the phone the volume and clairty i am talking are the intents just as good?..Looking forward to getting a pair soon…

Fred, have you thought about trialing the rechargeable Intents? That way you’ll know that you like them, or not, when the disposable aids come in. And if you don’t like them, you could move on to something else. And who knows, you may end up liking the rechargeables! that’s what happened to me.
In any case, yabba dabba do!

Thanks Fred!
I likely will try other makes when wsib will replace my hearing aids. That’s end of August in 2+ years

I tried an Intent but unfortunately there is no word from Oticon on when a will be available in the same form factor. Currently, if you want to use an Intent with CROS, you have to pair it with the existing CROS form factor, which uses a different charger; so two chargers. So, I am going to wait until the new CROS is available before deciding whether to upgrade (from OPN S 1).

Do you notice a big improvement with the intent? I have the more and loved them until recently I think I may have dust in them as I was remodeling a buikding

May I recommend the Jodi-Vac consumer grade hearing aid vacuum. Costs between $100-$115.
Many folks on this site are happy Jodi-Vac users, myself included.
Good Luck,
David

On the latest S23 firmware (released 16 September 2024 in the UK, version ending CXH7), tap-to-answer and the hearing aid microphones seem to be working again on my S23 and Oticon Intents (firmware 1.1.0) when I switch to “” mode. Although the sound quality through the hearing aid microphones is so poor I don’t know if using the microphones is worth it.

I wonder if poor sound quality in your Oticon Intents is common to other hearing aids.
If it is, perhaps better microphones will help hearing aid performance! Are the directional microphones a cause of poor performing hearing aids?
My original Phonak Audeo Paradise P90R’s worked so poorly as set up that I thought I would get a different brand.
Phonak has been magnificent. They replaced my hearing aids and charger at end of warranty. They changed to an older style receiver. So I have much better . And the rechargeable batteries actually work as long as I expect on a normal working day now.

Apps use memory and most people for savings but with minium offered memory. When you open and app even closing it back up it leave a small amount (a kernel) in memory. When you now go to use bluetooth there is insufficient memory so often one may connect but not both Hope this helps
