Hear.com24 has a brand new aid, Horizon IX, that they state is first ever dual processor and vastly improved clarity over any other HA on the market. Horizon IX hearing aids by hear.com | Best Hearing Aids | Bluetooth & Rechargeable | No-Risk Trial105
I have attempted to find reviews but it is so new there doesn’t seem to be any, as it was just released in March, last month. Talking with their pitch man it sounds wonderful, but being cheap and a bit leery, I need more information from real world wearers.
If it is truly as wonderful as they state, the money is not a problem, hearing is worth the price. My hearing is so bad that I avoid conversations because I can’t hear them, and going to a retail counter, fast food, pharmacy, any place I need to converse, I have to have wife or daughter along. Hearing would truly be a gift, but I don’t want to throw good money at an impossible dream.
It sounds amazing, but being a long time COSTCO person, I like the price of their Jabra unit for less than half the cost.
Has anyone heard of or tried the Horizon IX? TY…

These people just sell rebranded models, it’s the Signia IX.

It’s been out a long time now, nothing new, again it’s a rebadged Signia.

Just use the search button from right here on hearingtracker, Signia IX.

Go straight to Costco and get the the Rexton (again a rebranded Signia)

Thank you for the information. I thought it was a Signia IX but couldn’t find confirmation. Looking at both the price seems the same.
I have been using Costco for a while, my current ones are over five years old so ready for new ones. I was considering the Jabra but I will check out the Rexton. Why spend $5-6K if the Costco $2k are just as good…?
Ty again for the information.

Hear.com1 advertises it’s “new” Horizon IX hearing aids with “first ever dual processor” and “improved clarity.” This is, in fact, a reworked version of it’s insignia product line. Some web pages suggest you can get it for ~$100. It costs ~$6,000 less whatever insurance will cover. Needless to say it still costs a bundle. With all sorts of come-ons and trying to get you to “test” the product, they look to rope you in. Apparently the Costco Rexton product is essentially the same with private branding.

I’d like a straight-forward citation of the costs and a sales approach without preparing the customer for acceptance of the higher cost.

Until the price comes down significantly, I think I’ll stick with my Apple Pro2 hearing aid equipped Earpods! The Apple Earpods are not bad!

The Rexton Reach from Costco are even better, which are also rebadged Signia models.

Just been contacted by hearing.com1 re the “new” Horizon IX aids. they are saying $4900 for a pair with 45-day free trial and 100% refund if not satisfied. thought I read somewhere someone had an issue with them trying to return the aids and trying to get the refund. I’m trying to decide whether to give them a try or not. My issue is hearing in restaurants & in groups. Any thoughts on this would really be helpful. Thank you.

Is it possible to pop in to your local Costco wholesale and try the Rexton (Rebranded Signia)
Save a few dollars (actually a lot!) and in person and fit up, 180 days to return as well.

Well, this is an update. the company was referring me to an audiologist I have used before. I contacted her about the Horizon aids and she informed me of the rebranding of these and how I had trialed the real brand and they didn’t work well for me so she said the Horizons wouldn’t then work. I thought maybe I need to trial them from a different audiologist but trying to contact hear.com1 is a nightmare. no response to emails I sent to them. finally did a new request, got a call back, but couldn’t get any direct answers to any question. I don’t think this is a company to deal with, at least not for me.

Their service stinks. I keep hearing a whooshing noise when everything around is quiet. they keep talking about some program but no fix. It is annoying.
