Just a followup for those who may be considering the Philips 9050’s. After several more visits for fine tuning adjustments by no less than three different COSTCO “Hearing Instrument Specialists”, my Philips hearing aids are finally working very well.
I believe that, as with probably all modern sophisticated hearing aids, the key to success is getting the correct balance of programming configurations. They fiddle with one variable and that negatively affects a different aspect of the many parameters. There are virtually endless possibilities and combinations of settings. The more I think about it, the more amazed I am that anyone ever gets these things to work right
I suspect that most any brand and model of high-quality top-end hearing aid can be made to work well for most users, if the fitter has the skill to set it up properly.
