I wouldn’t worry about service if Rexton is indeed discontinued. I have hearing aids made by Sonova (Phonak’s parent company) and getting service has not been an issue since Costco stopped carrying them.

Getting your hearing aids dialed in is going to be your biggest hurdle.
You can help by bringing a recording of the music you like if important, bring a musical instrument they you play, and a recording of voices that you want to hear.
If that fails, then there is also a section here.

search here for Chasin, an audi that specializes in music for hearing aids. There’s also a pdf available that gives pointers to audis for fitting a musician program. it’s very good. I brought that in with me for my provider to use fitting my Signia 7 (Rexton at Costco). Many audis don’t know how to program for music/musicians. My Signia 7s come with a ‘musician’ setting pre installed that was simply unusable. After a few tweaks, it was cured and now is very good indeed. The Signia specialist that we got on the phone was aghast at my insisting they turn off compression and feedback management for my musician program. And several other programs. It was necessary however. or try this: scroll to page 6 and continue.

Hi All,
Do we have an update on the trail ? Is costco going to continue Sonite and expand its availability to other stores and countries ?
Thanks

Personally I hope they don’t carry old stock to flick off as the latest, if they do decide to stick with the Sennheisers hopefully they’ll at least offer the latest models.

Google Gemini reply to my query: “How can you know about the Sennheiser Sonite R hearing aid?”
Answer to same question put to Perplexity.
The Sennheiser Sonite R is a rechargeable receiver-in-canal () hearing aid developed by Sonova, the parent company of brands like Phonak, Unitron, and Hansaton5. It is designed for people with mild to profound hearing loss and is available at Costco Hearing Aid Centers for $1,600 per pair57.
Key features of the Sennheiser Sonite R include:
The Sennheiser Sonite R is based on technology from Phonak’s older Paradise platform, rather than the latest Phonak models1. It offers features like narrow speech focus, speech manager, and impulse and wind managers1. While it may not have all the capabilities of the most recent high-end hearing aids, it provides a competitive option for those seeking quality hearing assistance at a more affordable price point57.

Interesting information.
We need a member to get their hands on these aids.

Lumity and Paradise are basically the same, wouldn’t make much if any difference, someone has already done a project on these.

I considered the lumity
I understand chip, memory and auto sense were improved in lumity.
At that time my Paradise P90R’s were set up terribly by the dispensing Audi.

3/29/25 Update… Eugene, Oregon. Had a Good/Informative talk with an specialist in the Hearing Dept. who steered me from gwtting the Jabra to the Rexton Reach. Further research supported their suggestion. I’ll be picking mine up around 4/22/25, and about that time the latest firmware update should be available. The only frown I have is that Costco will not be able to Turn-On the Tenitus Function.
I did read somewhere that I might be able to do it myself. I’m also joping I’ll be able to connect to various devices… Car sterio, Home TV, etc.

Welcome to the forum!
I’ve had 3 pair of Phonaks in about 21 years.
I recently tried the tinnitus program in my Phonak Pardise P90R’s They’re about 3-1/2 years old.
I didn’t like it.
Why? Because it’s like the awful masking speakers that are put in place for hvac systems, or to mask loud talk.
To me it was masking my tinnitus with a louder sound that was just as annoying. Or more. My tinnitus is very loud.

Can’t someone correct the misleading title on this important thread to something like:
“Some Costcos sell the Sennheiser Sonite instead of the Rexton Reach?”
It might save a lot of confused off-topic comments.
