Many different options for the Jabra (rebranded ReSound Vivia 9) in the fitting software.

The specific features are Environmental Optimizer II (focuses on increasing noise levels for speech) and Noise Tracker II (adjusts background noise based on various sound environments). Can be turned off or adjusted. It does take several seconds for adjustments to kick in when noise environments change.

If you’re referring to the aids switching programs automatically: turning this off is not possible with the fitting software. However, you can ask your fitter to create custom programs for you, so you can choose the one you prefer and switch to others manually whenever you want.

I am trying Hear In Noise instead of All-Around and it seems to “solve” my problem of abrupt changes in volume when simply flushing the toilet or opening the garage door.
