I live regionally. No independent Audiologists where I live. Nearest is 5-6 hrs away. Have unilateral loss so Costco not really an option and they are 5-6 hrs away anyway.
Has anyone in Australia had experience with Freedom Hearing? They say they are independent. No prices on their website.
The other choices I have are
Independent hearing (they visit when I work)
Hearing matters ( they visit when I work.)
Spec savers, but I had an awful experience with their audiologist.
Amplifon but they only sell a limited range from one company.

Costco is your better option, mate 6 hour’s is nothing to get better hearing,buy a pair even though you don’t have to use both, have you considered , this would be a way to keep costs down and free up time, it’s easy enough for most, just a little research and reading the user guides gives you an understanding of how things work, plus of course software and hardware again easy enough to get.
Some people don’t even get a lot of success with if that’s what your consideration is in going independent, worth a trip into town to see what Costco can offer, the savings alone from them will offset a nights stay etc
