Every 6 months they need repair
Yesterday the Costco hearing specialist said it could be the skin oils getting into the aids where the receiver connects to the behind the ear piece
Any truth to that?
How can I prevent?
How to clean that part of the aid - tissue, other?
Will a desiccant/dryer help with oils?

That should be the case unless the aids don’t have any level of waterproofing or dust protection. I have been wearing aids for 20 years and having had but 2 failed hearing aids. They did get wet as I am a very heavy sweater.

It’s possible. Dryer might help. I don’t think any cleaning you could do would help. Maybe Ear Gear (little socks for hearing aids that might keep the sweat/oils out.

Is there visible corrosion on the contacts where the receiver connects?
Anyone try a dab of dielectric grease for this situation? Jabra may not like this and could deny warranty claims.
