I went to Costco and tried Jabra and Phillips, and the Jabra, according to the girl, didn’t give me enough gain and that I had set them to the same settings and I could hear her more with the Phillips, so I stayed with Phillips to see…

Hi, do you have the 9050s? How are they working? I’ll start testing them in two weeks. Do they work for you in noise?

If you’re asking me, yes I still have them. Voice in noise is still difficult but somewhat better after an adjustment a while back.
I think there will soon be an improvement for most/all wearers with the changes coming re: NAL NL3 fitting formula. At least that’s my hope. Voice in noise seems to be most people’s biggest single issue, and the NL3 sounds like it does a great job addressing that issue.

Interesting. My Costco tech feels the Jabra’s are better for severe to profound high freq loss. I demo’d the pro 30’s, 9050, and Reach and the Jabra’s, although more sharp and crisp sounding, offered me better speech comprehension. It wasnt even close. The others sounded dull and slightly muffled compared to the Jabra’s. I also found that the proprietary Jabra fitting formula worked better than using the adjusted settings.

My loss is more severe than yours in bass and midrange, and then I have lost high frequencies. I will try these and if they don’t work for me, I will get Jabra.

I watched a video on this from a month ago (Nov 2025) and the app showed everything up to date (but there was a new firmware update that enabled ). The Cosco fitter connected to there software and still showed up to date. Fitter updated his software. Then it showed the update 1.3.0. He updated the ’s and when user checked the phone app they were updated and Auracast showed up. I just mention this because it seems there may be some sort of lag with Phillips software.
