Oticon's (Demant's) plan for Q1 2026

Demant’s Annual Report lists the following plans for the first quarter (Q1) and first half (H1) of 2026:

In Q1 2026, we will further expand our portfolio of solutions with additional form factors to reach
even more people with our latest generation of hearing aid technology. This is exemplified by the
release of Oticon Verit™, a hearing aid for users who prefer disposable batteries. In H1, our portfolio of hearing aids with disposable batteries will also be expanded to our other hearing aid brands,
Bernafon and Philips. In addition to these releases, Oticon will expand its latest Sirius platform
to a new family of paediatric products, Oticon Play SI. All releases in Q1 will be featuring our industry-leading connectivity with ™ and Google Fast Pair™.

Based upon this announcement, I’m assuming they will release an updated platform for Philips at COSTCO.

I’m hoping this will be the case, since I’d like to replace my 9040s at that time.

Based on what you shared , there are no updates to the Intent and its cousins (Encarta and 9050) except for the replaceable battery. They Verit has the Sirius chip just like the Intent/9050.

I read somewhere else that they will be releasing a Verit T 105 based on the Sirius platform . I don’t know if this is relevant to the Xceed users .

Hopefully H2 will deliver a new platform

That’s exactly what we’re looking forward to, they’re (manufacturers) all due for a release of a new platform, not just a “update”

You could probably check in Oticon Genie2 for the exact features available.

They don’t have to use 4 levels. They can pick a level that suits. Run-out product using the remainder of the Intent/Encanta circuit inventory in a non-competing form factor.

Sounds ideal (for the NHS).

Oticon Verit is already available for purchase in Germany.

Another site sells Oticon Verit 1 for AUD $3500. Ironically the store name contains savers, but that price does not look like saving at all. :grinning_face:

Only you could possibly know if it was “worthy” in is the way forward so the manufacturers say, I’m not convinced myself and will be sticking with zinc air for the foreseeable future.

It does create a beam that is very noticeable on busy streets, for example. If you look at a noisy bus, the sound of that bus becomes louder. When you look away, the hearing aids automatically shift their “focus” to wherever your eyes are looking and tone down the noise from the bus.

Does that help with speech comprehension in challenging environments? Tough question… I’m not sure about that. In any case, the Intents are excellent in those situations for some of us (myself included).

Isn’t this 4D Sensor replicated by the Speech in Noise program whose directional microphones capture front audio? I remember seeing this in older Oticons with similar programs.

you could say it’s an advancement on that, it also changes the depending on the situation, which is something older platforms didn’t do.

I don’t understand why did Oticon release miniBTE 85 version alongside 105? This makes their product lineup more complex. If anyone does not need more than 85db power output, they would still be well served by BTE 105 version and they would have more power in reserve in case their hearing deteriorates.
