Good point. It’s a shame that cShells from Phonak don’t have silicone options. Only acrylic or titanium.

I had to switch from Silicon to Hard Acrylic, approximately 6 months ago… I am severely allergic to Silicon, even with Hypoallergenic moulds, I was getting severe pressure points, perhaps because Silicon swells slightly? I have no vents whatsoever, tis been that way for a few years now. I must admit, sound wise, I have not noticed any difference between Hard Acrylic and Silicon moulds, so if there is any difference, it must be marginal? Starkey Hearing Lab UK, assisted my Audiologist with instructions as to how to get the best impression, pressure points were marked out on these impressions, then scalloped out during their making, Starkey did a wonderful job, and best of all, they keep your impressions indefinitely on digital file, you just give them your serial numbers, and they’ll make a new set… They fit perfect, they are very comfortable, with no pressure points and no allergic reactions, happy days.
