Excellent point, never thought of that. I just opened the app, I’ve been at home for an hour and half and it’s in Speech in Car. Perhaps the home A/C is triggering this.
Noise Block for Speech in Car is at the default “8” in Target. I like to hear all traffic, engine, suspension and road noise. I’ll bump up Noise Block to 10 and see if that resolves.
Amazing find. Too bad he didn’t elaborate on what settings he changed in Target. After our conversation I did change Noise Block and soft noise reduction but it occasionally still stays stuck. I’m glad I’m not the only one experiencing this.
BTW - How do we get AutoSense 7.0. I think my speres came with OS 6.0
Maybe the dust/debris in the microphone port of the hearing aid has distorted the sound, which has caused AutosenseOS to make a misjudgment. Try cleaning the microphone port of your hearing aid.
Perhaps it’s “learning” with some combination of location together with ambient sound level? can be baffling if one didn’t write its code!
Thank you for your many excellent posts and comments, from a native New Hampshirite who wears ReSounds (now Jabra Enhance Pro 30’s - since last month)!
Best, Bob.
The on these is static; there is no learning over when the code shipped to the factory for manufacturing. They analyze the current environment, and using the AI rules devises what the best settings should be for that environment. When you turn them off and then back on, there is nothing on the knowing anything about the previous session. Nothing about how to reset any learning like this. Nothing about the kinds of things learned, or how it would decide good or bad about settings to do a better job. (“Click left button for good, click right for bad, and a new solution attempt” etc.) They have given the AI “good” and “bad” (noise) audio inputs when programming the AI, so the HA can discriminate and change settings accordingly. They don’t connect anywhere to “ask a friend” about what to do. It doesn’t continue to learn. I think this is burned into programmable firmware, but I wouldn’t be shocked to find out it was burned permanently into the hardware of the HA for performance reasons.
